HONEY West was never a movie. Small screen only. So there!
Maybe not, but it starred movie actress Ann Francis, and was the best thing she did after Forbidden Planet. they just don't make shows or movies like that anymore.
Obviously I stumped everybody... or you're fucking with me because you know I'm slow on the uptake. By the way, the answer to the movie above was Jessica Alba's 2003 tour de force, "Honey."
OK, here's a new one -- just in time for the holidays.
"I wasn't sleeping, chief. It's just that I haven't been able to sleep these last few months. I forgot how. So I was just practicing."
“In a world whose absurdity appears to be so impenetrable, we simply must reach a greater degree of understanding among us, a greater sincerity.”
The holiday clue gave it away; it was also Pia Zadora's first film (and probably her "best" performance, although that isn't hard). It's a horrible movie I've seen many times.

Yeah, but... you have to show the title, not just allude to it. At this rate I'll be wallowing in "Name That Movie!" purgatory forever.
Help me... help...

I prefer hints to give others a chance (and to stretch out your torment )--Edmund Gwenn would like this film, Ray Walston might not. and it is recognized as one of the worst (most schlocky) films ever made--my watching was as a kid--I think Zacherly (or is it Zacherle? the cool ghoul in any event) introduced it a few times.
When a woman makes the choice to marry, to have children, in one way her life begins but in another way it stops. You build a life of details. You become a mother, a wife; and you stop and stay steady so that your children can move. And when they leave they take your life of details with them. And then you're expected move again, only you don't remember what moves you because no one has asked in so long. Not even yourself.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
Big RR wrote:Bill--a quick question, did you know that quote, or was it my brilliant hint?
I'd hate to think that I'm the only person here who say that dumb movie many times as a kid, but maybe I am. Just more evidence of a life well wasted.
No, I've not seen the movie although maybe I should; it looks like it's so schlocky bad that it would be even funnier than it was meant to be. It was the combination of clues, especially the Pia Zadora one, that gave it to me. "What was so-and-so's first movie?" is a common enough question in a game of bar trivia, and Pia Zadora's debut role has turned up more than once (last film appearance questions show up with amazing frequency too).
And a quickie clue about my latest offering —
this one is considered a 'chick-flick' (AMC ranked it as one of the top ten classic examples of a chick flick of all time);
..... and yes, I did see it in a theater with someone I cared about back then. -"BB"-

Bill--I recalled the Pia Zadora clue from some sort of trivia game as well.
As for your clue, it's a chick flick based on a chick book, and I think AMC has it right. Indeed, if the roles of husband and wife were reversed, and the husband experienced and did what the wife did, I'd bet that many of the women who loved this movie would hate it.
