The Lying Washington Post Does It Again. Thankfully, POTUS only tweets about how bad the Failing Washington Post is. He can always rely on his fair and balanced friends at Fox.

So thank John Garofalo for his service, even the only medal he earned (not even a Good Conduct Medal!) was the National Defense Service Medal, the little colored bit everybody gets just for showing up.

He didn't disgrace the SEALs. He disgraced himself. Only having a gedunk ribbon isn't a disgrace. As mentioned, Every enlisted gets that as long as they serve during war time which doesn't require service in a combat zone. It's the military version of BTDT got the t shirt.

The National Defense Ribbon was a big deal during Vietnam; to the left it meant one was a war criminal, I have two. However, one could redeem oneself in the eyes of the left by fragging their officer and fleeing to Canada.

The fake SEAL has since admitted he lied and apologised for it. Making him more moral than either Trump or Fox who in spite of a legion of opportunities have not shown they aware of either action.

Yes, I am a paid up-life member of the American Legion. We also served who stood and waited. The most dangerous thing I did while wearing the uniform was jump out the back of a deuce-and-a- half while wearing a full combat pack in a training exercise. (and this includes the times I pushed primer caps and d-cord into blocks of C4. that stuff is very predictable. How I am gonna stumble when I land on rough ground with a about 90 pounds of stuff swaying around on my body is not) I devoted more time to painting rocks white than anything remotely describable as worth thanking me for my service.

But it still pisses me off beyond any reasonable extent when I read about or encounter an individual claiming any military recognition that is not theirs--even if it is only a discount at Old Country Buffet on Veterans Day, where the food is lousy and the prices are too high any way.

Stolen valor, no matter how minor,is a damn near a capital offense IMNSHO.

When I was at Fairchild at the survival school and in the escape and evasion course we were on an evasion exercise. We had wandered off course while navigating form the drop off point to the pick-up. My suggestion was to climb to the top of a hill and plot another route. The lieutenant didn’t want to do it; I think she was tired and remembering when earlier I had to put my hand on her butt and pushed her forward to prevent her from falling backwards over a log. At the time, I didn’t think about it, she said, Sergeant Liberty help me. I reached up put my hand on her butt pushed her forward without thinking about the fact she was a female. I worried about it later, but at the time sex was the last thing on my mind; I was too tired and hungry.

Well at any rate we discovered an enemy camp, DOD employees who played the aggressors. The Airman suggested we sneak up to the camp to see if we could overhear them talking and maybe learn something about the pickup point. I knew it was a mistake, but her mind was made up; she wouldn’t even let us take our packs off or let me hide while they tried it. Well as expected we walked into an ambush. I knew what was going to happen so I took up the rear. When the trap was sprung, I ran for it which was the only thing I could do. When I came to a small ravine my pursuing aggressor dropped his Russian accent and said don’t do it! But I jumped. I came down on the inside slope, slid and landed on my seat. The aggressor back in character and in his Russian accent, look down at me and said crazy Americans.
