North Dallas Forty? My dad took us to see that when I was 6 or 7 and the ticket lady was outraged - they had a verbal altercation which my dad won.

It’s a football movie and has lots of gratuitous nudity (including the sexual assault of at least one woman) so I’m guessing based on the clue - I don’t recall the dialogue at all, I was young.

And so far as I recall, no one is sexually assaulted, although there is sex in the film.

And another hint--It's an older film (1982) and it starred an up and coming young actress in her fourth film and was on the heels of a best actress academy award nomination. Shortly afterward, she had cosmetic surgery (including breast implants that later caused her problems) and completely changed her look.

And a final hint, her grandfather was a well known author.

She had breast implants before her role in Star 80 - a terrific performance, by the way - and had them removed years later when they began leaking. She looks as beautiful now as her Personal Best days:

And FWIW, other than how she looked after the implants (a matter of personal choice), which she insisted were not done to get the Dorothy Stratton role, I do think she has aged well (at least a lot better than I have). And while I liked her performances in Manhattan and Personal Best more, I agree she did quite a good job in Star 80 as well.

As for Personal Best, I liked it because I think it was a good depiction of what elite athletes go though to excel, and how they respond to those pressures. I especially liked the part showing how Carter's deciding to not go to the Olympics in Moscow as some sort of protest against the Russians going into Afghanistan (a decision I didn't support) and affected the athletes who trained for years to get to the Olympics. It's well worth the watch if you haven't seen it, although it may be hard to locate.

I had friends who got paid good cash money to sit around as extras; it was filmed in the summer so I was home from school and missed out!

Yeah, if you're around, working as an extra can be fun. I was once an extra in a Kojak episode in NY--they picked me out of the crowd around where it was being filmed. I made something like $30 (not bad for a few hours in the 70s, it more than paid for a good dinner for my wife (actually my girlfriend then) and me. All I had to do was walk by him on the sidewalk looking straight ahead (there were about 5 of us); I did see the episode once and if you blinked you missed me.

I do recall meeting a couple of people who basically supported themselves by working as extras, but I'm sure their lifestyle wasn't particularly luxurious.
