My new client . . .

Post by BoSoxGal »

Watches FOX news from the time she wakes up until right before bedtime - at decibel levels that hurt my ears.

As much of an asshole as I can sometimes be in this life, I must’ve been a real cocksucker in a previous life to deserve this!

Otherwise it’s a good gig; I live in her tony Boston suburbs house two days in a row, get 8 hours off each day to chill/sleep, am ‘on’ the other 16 - but it’s light duty care, mostly companionship, meal prep (we eat Hello Fresh! and Blue Apron every evening!) and enjoy her art collection (she’s an artist) and her terrific library and her gorgeous gardens come spring . . . and after two days on the calendar I’m 3/4 of the way to a full-time paycheck.

How did I manage to find a NYC-raised and educated Jewish lady artist who donates to the Heritage Foundation and watches FOX?!

Her daughter tells me she was once a leftie socialist/communist . . .

Sounds to me that there are more positive aspects of your assignment than negative ones. 8-)

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Yup, I’m investing $40 into a set of Earasers, hi-fidelity musician earplugs that reduce sound while maintaining clarity - I’ll still hear the rantings of Tucker Carlson, et al. but they’ll be vastly diminished in volume. Too bad there’s no filter available for the lies and warped perspectives on offer. After just one day of listening, I can see why the country is so profoundly divided - that channel is a menace to informed citizenship.

Count your blessings, it could be The 700 Club; one of my friends mothers had that and other religious programming on day and night at a deafening volume. I wnet a few times to visit her and you couldn't stay more than a few minutes.

That’s a ‘choose your poison’ kind of deal, isn’t it? I’m honestly not sure which would be worse . . . I guess at least FOX has a token protesting moderate on here and there, and there’s always Shepard Smith.

Luckily there’s a little TV in the kitchen at the other end of the house, so I can get a fix of MSNBC while prepping meals and cleaning.

You should ask her why she changed.

And what her mother would think if she could see her today. ("A shanda fur die goyim" leaps to mind.)

As I recall alan Sherman singing (about Harvey and Shiela) they first "worked for JFK" and later "went and joined the GOP 'cause that's the way things go"
