Name That Movie!
Re: Name That Movie!
MG, I'll bet if you tell us what color shirt you were wearing the last time you watched the movie, people would get it in a heartbeat...

Re: Name That Movie!
This was another popular movie that was based on a popular novel. I think McMg's hint about first seeing it had to do with the movie having been around a good long time. I remember seeing it in high school English in the 1970s (when teachers were burned out and this counted as an educational movie since it was based on a well-known novel), and it had been around for our lifetime at that point!
Re: Name That Movie!
I looked it up but the only way you'll get the answer from me is to pry if from my cold dead hands.

Inquiring minds want to know: was that a clue???Guinevere wrote:Quit fiddling around, MgMc, give them a real clue
It's a burning question....
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

Absolutely, whether it was intentional or not (and it would be hard to give such a clue unintentionally).

Written, believe it or not, by a retired Civil War general .....Long Run wrote:This was another popular movie that was based on a popular novel.

This was also not the first time it had received the Hollywood treatment —

from the 1925 silent film starring Ramon Novarro (right) as Judah Ben-Hur and Francis X. Bushman (left) as Messala

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Re: Name That Movie!
A somewhat timely one:
In all my fifty years of public service, I have never seen a document so crowded with infamous falsehoods and distortions, on a scale so huge that I never imagined until today that any government on this planet was capable of uttering them.
