He had a QB rating of 115 (versus 106 for Foles, which is also excellent btw). A key stat is yards per pass attempt and Brady's was a very high 10.5 (compared to Foles also excellent 8.7). Brady had one of the great quarterback efforts in Super Bowl history; no one who knows anything is laying this on him due to one excellent play by the Eagles defense.Brady completed 28 passes on 48 attempts for 3 touchdowns, no interceptions, and a Super Bowl record 505 yards - which also set a new record for the most passing yards by a quarterback in any postseason game in NFL history.
He played most of the game without the best wide receiver left to him due to a spearing-caused concussion (he actually played the whole year without his best wide receiver), among other key injuries. The Pats never punted because Brady had the offense operating so well. Their kicker missed an easy field goal and PAT that would have changed the game. Their defense could not stop the Eagles (mostly because of great offense on the part of the Eagles, which, of course, has nothing to do with Brady). Eagles got the benefit of the only three highly questionable calls, two of which resulted in touchdowns; those are the breaks, but they seemed to go against the Pats in this one.
The Eagles played an excellent game, and won a close fought game. It was close only because Brady was at his best.
