What A Generous Guy...

Post by RayThom »

Melania knows the world sees her as a weak woman, worthy of scorn and ridicule. A really horse's ass. Even for such a gold-digger, It must be chewing her up inside.

She should leave the asshole-in-chief, and proceed to make million$ on the "public apology tour."

I bet Baron feels the same way about his sperm donor.

I just read that Stormy kept her dress from the encounter with Trump - in storage, not washed since they had their encounter.

It’s not blue - it’s gold! How rich is that?!

Face it, he's not in the greatest of shape, and the presidency (or really his antics) seem to be taking a toll on him.

As I said, those were learning experiences. It is likely Melania is on a tighter leash. And his trust or estate will govern what she gets if he dies, which may not be that much. Recall Bing Crosby stiffing his wife and kids. Trump is mean and uses power ruthlessly. I bet he is doing that with his money as well.

If I recall, bing's current wife at the time of his death did pretty well; his ex-wife, not so good. It is pretty difficult to disinherit your spouse--kids and ex-spouses are no problem (you can do what you want), but ex-spouses are tougher and are generally permitted to claim a significant percentage of the estate upon their spouse's death regardless of what the will (and most trusts say). There are legal maneuvers that can be tried (and Trump can hire the best attorneys to take advantage of those loopholes), but then give the value of even a third of Trump's estate, as well as the publicity and exposure any lawyers would get, Melania should be able to get great lawyers as well. Watching the battle could be fun, and I'd bet there would be a pretty good settlement in her favor.

and while a properly drafted prenup can potentially avoid the right to this elective share, this will be dependent on state law, and not all states will enforce this. Again, a generous settlement would oprobaly be preferable to the estate as opposed to litigating this.

His first wife died in 1952 so that's about as little as you can get. News reports after he died said that Kathryn got the house and personal effects but no substantial cash to explain why she was having a sale. Which I could not confirm. His children (from Kathryn) received a blind trust which would not pay out until they were 65 which is a little nasty and controlling, IMO.

Trump's first wife got:

": The Trumps signed a divorce pact after Ivana unsuccessfully challenged a prenuptial agreement that limited any divorce settlement to $25 million. Under the deal, Trump had to pay her $14 million in cash, $350,000 in annual alimony and $300,000 per year for the support of their three children. Ivana also got their mansion in Greenwich, Conn., and an apartment in Trump Plaza."

And his second wife:

"The prenup had a four-year marriage clause. Donald served notice weeks before the anniversary, so the agreement was null and void. She walked away with $1 million, property and child support. } "

Anyone can draw a straight line between two points but that slopes pretty steeply downwards.

Melania ha been married to him, or his money, for >12 years so she might fare better.

Perhaps, and if he's dead, it increases the chance of his side agreeing to a rational settlement.

Do you really think that Junior, Eric—or even Ivanka—would be "rational"?

Keep in mind most psychoses is genetic. The Trumpy kids are merely powder kegs waiting for their best time to explode.
