We can't win
Re: We can't win
But Clinton did, at least I the beginning.
Re: We can't win
What is brain dead is underestimating a potential enemy. What kind of jingoistic kool-Aid do you all drink? Remember that North Vietnam a forth rate military power defeated and humiliated the US. And you all think we can fight off a real nation like Russia. Keep drinking your liberal Jim Jones Kool-Aid.
Jim Jones a well-known California Liberal:
Drinking the Kool-Aid" refers to the 1978 Jonestown Massacre; the phrase suggests that one has mindlessly adopted the dogma of a group or leader without fully understanding the ramifications or implications. At Jonestown, Jim Jones' followers followed him to the end: after visiting Congressman Leo Ryan was shot at the airstrip, all the Peoples Temple members drank from a metal vat containing a mixture of "Kool Aid", cyanide, and prescription drugs Valium, Phenergan, and chloral hydrate

I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

Another basic indicator of sub-par education. Jingoism is your problem; not that of anyone else. What kind of jingoistic kool-Aid do you all drink?
Wiki, she say: Jingoism is nationalism in the form of aggressive foreign policy, such as a country's lunatic advocacy for the use of threats or actual force, as opposed to peaceful relations, in efforts to safeguard what it perceives as its national interests
The expression originated in a bellicose song from the 1870s and is a perfect expression of your (not our) obsessive sabre-rattling:
"The Dogs of War" are loose and the rugged Russian Bear,
Full bent on blood and robbery, has crawl'd out of his lair;
It seems a thrashing now and then, will never help to tame
That brute, and so he's out upon the "same old game."
The Lion did his best to find him some excuse
To crawl back to his den again, all efforts were no use;
He hunger'd for his victim, he's pleased when blood is shed,
But let us hope his crimes may all recoil on his own head.
CHORUS:
We don't want to fight but by jingo if we do,
We've got the ships, we've got the men, and got the money too!
We've fought the Bear before and while we're Britons true
The Russians shall not have Constantinople.
Oh, and you don't need to explain to adults what the Kool-Aid reference was about. We're smart enough to know it already and also smart enough to know that Jim Jones was not a liberal but a communist (among more vile traits). I suppose it was his early and laudable efforts against racism in the USA that you find particularly offensive.
If you don't know what that obscene excuse in the White House is doing to the USA (aside from being a whore for Russia, which I think you of all people should really be worried about) then no amount of further enlightenment will be of benefit.
And, aside from having no discernible sense of humor whatsoever, you are wrong about my children. Trump is of great concern to me as he works like the clammy mole that he is to undermine their future, not to mention my own. Your insistence on distracting attention away from the real world is doing his job for him.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Re: We can't win
So you think that I am jingoistic? Do I go around screaming in people’s faces how great the US is? No I don’t think so. When I did talk how about how great the US was i wasn’t bellicose about it. When something is true it is true. The greatness of what we call “America” is fading and it appears the leaders, mostly liberals, of this country are unwilling to do anything about it. When conditions change an organism can either adapt to a new condition or die. I want this country to hold on to as much of the good stuff as it can by adapting to a changing world.MajGenl.Meade wrote:Another basic indicator of sub-par education. .
But back to me being jingoistic: Am I eager to wage war no? It depends on the circumstances; when we can’t win it makes no since to fight unless death is better than defeat. Is that jingoistic?
Evidently you guys think terrible things like the holocaust can’t happen in the modern world. But I think there are still people that will take what you have if they can and some of those people are world leaders. Sometimes one has to fight. Is that jingoistic?

Origin of jingoism
Am I either bellicose or chauvinistic? Well maybe a little chauvinistic in terms of pride in my own people, but anyone who isn’t has an identity problem. It is like everyone thinks their children are somehow the best.

try to look at it differently, Lib.....
of course we can t win.
you remember mutually assured destruction, right?
the goal is not to lose....
who the hell wants to invade Russia? ....no one, excepting napoleon and hitler...
okay...., maybe ghengis, khan and the Vikings, but that was a different world....
what is actually the threat, in my view, is that we are being divided and conquered ... from the inside...
didn t kruschev (sp) promise that?
don t be fooled, putin is just as much a commie as breshnev(sp) and stalin were......
the whole white black brown man woman gender identity thing is all part of dividing us.....
we are shallow, as a nation, I think.....
our education system is largely at the root of our growing problems.
we are being taught to resent and hate one another.
people of a certain color aren t evil. one gender is not more evil than the other....
i hope that we all hang together.
of course we can t win.

Who are these "liberal" leaders and what part of the government doe they comprise? Certainly not Trump, or the republican lead houses of congress, and there aren't many in the USSC I would call left-leaning, let alone liberal. So please, identify who they are.it appears the leaders, mostly liberals, of this country are unwilling to do anything about it.

The Russian don’t need to divide us we can do that job ourselves.
All they have to do is wait for the time to be right.
There are two kinds of people in the United States Americans and liberals. Liberals spell the name of this country as United State. The two above statements are of sentiment not necessarily fact.
How can Putin improve his image among liberals? Answer, reestablish the Soviet Union.

I hope I didn’t offend any good people that just happen to be somewhat what liberal. Believe it or there are actually some liberals that are not fascist.

I wonder what the Russian think about this. Do they think they could win? Someone Email the Russian embassy maybe they will post here.

You have accepted Rush Limbaughs definition of "liberal" and like his definition of "feminist" it does not exist in the real world.

"My friend Bob Dole is fond of Robert Frost's observation that a liberal is someone who won't "take his own side in a quarrel." I will. I believe that the most practical and hopeful compass by which to guide the American ship of state is the philosophy of liberalism. Virtually every step forward in our history has been a liberal initiative taken over conservative opposition: civil rights, Social Security, Medicare, rural electrification, the establishment of a minimum wage, collective bargaining, the Pure Food and Drug Act, and federal aid to education, including the land-grant colleges, to name just a few.* Many of these innovations were eventually embraced by conservatives only after it became clear that they had overwhelming public approval for the simple reason that almost every American benefited from them. Every one of these liberal efforts strengthened our democracy and our quality of life. I challenge my conservative friends to name a single federal initiative now generally approved by both of our major parties that was not first put forward by liberals over the opposition of conservatives."

Re: We can't win
I'm not a conservative by any means, but what about The Bill of Rights? it was put forth by the states' rights proponents, the conservatives of that day who opposed the strong central government the "liberal" federalists wanted.
Re: We can't win
I'm not sure that the labels "conservative" and "liberal" could be applied to the division between anti-federalists and federalists at the time. States' rights became associated with conservatism later on, of course, but to retroactively make the association to the late 1700s seems a stretch.
