Name That Movie!
Re: Name That Movie!
I think it's pretty obvious at this point that it's highly unlikely that any one who hasn't looked this movie up is going to know the answer...
(I certainly had to look it up...A movie so new that it's still showing in theaters that wouldn't be appealing to young kids is not a movie I'm likely to have seen...)

PLEASE, Please... Name That Movie!
Yes, LJ, you're probably right. Nonetheless, while it will not be nominated for an Academy Award (unless one of its stars dies between now and next March,) I enjoyed it and I thought many of the real movie enthusiasts in here would have seen it by now. Obviously I was wrong.
For anyone who has been in suspense the movie is "The Leisure Seeker" starring Helen Mirren and Donald Sutherland.
OK... I'll switch gears at this point and offer up this quote from a movie that I've never seen from start to finish, yet I've seen it all many of times.

I don't think this one has been done yet, but after almost 300 pages...
-- Do you think it wise for the boys to go stalking so soon?
-- Anything that gets them into the fresh air is a good thing.
-- Well maybe they shouldn't take their guns, I mean if a photographer were to see them it might send out the wrong signal.
-- If there is a photographer out there, he could be the first kill of the day.

Got it in one...
But I'll hold off a couple of days, I'm pretty sure somebody else will also get this one...

It looks good Ray, (I'll bet the chemistry between a couple of outstanding long time pros like Sutherland and Mirren is superb) but I haven't had the chance to see much in theaters over the past dozen years or so that didn't involve animation, dragons, precocious kids, or super heroes...(Though I'm sure my son would have enjoyed the line about farting...)I enjoyed it and I thought many of the real movie enthusiasts in here would have seen it by now.

-- Your sister called, from Tuscany.
-- I hope you told her to come back, cut her holiday short.
-- I did.
-- I'd imagine she was pleased.
-- That's putting it mildly.
-- What did she say?
-- Something about XXXX managing to be even more annoying dead than alive.

No nibbles? Ok, one more quote and a clue, and if no one gets it by tomorrow morning, will post a quote that should be a giveaway even if you haven't seen the film:
The lead is played by one of the actors who played the leads in the film that RayThom posted that no one was able to get.Sleeping in the streets and pulling out their hair for someone they never knew. And they think we're mad!

Will the person answering correctly be crowned the winner?
Re: Name That Movie!
So if this doesn't give it away...
You know, when you get it wrong, you really get it wrong! That woman has given her whole life in service to her people. Fifty years doing a job SHE never wanted! A job she watched kill her father. She's executed it with honor, dignity, and, as far as I can tell, without a single blemish, and now we're all baying for her blood! All because she's struggling to lead the world in mourning for someone who... who threw everything she offered back in her face. And who, for the last few years, seemed committed 24/7 to destroying everything she holds most dear!

I did not see it, but will guess based on the clues: The Queen.

Re: Name That Movie!
Going to the way back machine for this one -- a nice challenge for our cinephiles:
A well-liked actor well-known for playing heroes is a bad guy in this one. The film is set in Canada but filmed mostly in California.B: Every time I realize I'm helping you get to another man it takes the heart out of me. What's he like anyway?
M: Why?
B: Wanna know what competition I'm up against.

Whaaat? That was accidental!
I like the stink of the streets. It makes me feel good. And I like the smell of it, it opens up my lungs. And it gives me a hard-on.

Well it sounds like some sort of fairy tale--at least I'd bet it begins that way.
