If Trump was really interested in reforming immigration, rather than spend all the money and resources to hold the "illegals" (and since when is coming into the US "criminal"; yes they may be detained to prevent fleeing custody until their case is decided, but they are NOY criminals), he could get Congress to fund a lot more immigration judges to adjudicate the claims more quickly. But that wouldn't let him whip his anti-immigrant supporters into a frenzy. This is unconscionable--what an ass.

This can be added to the list of the worst things we have ever done as a matter of government policy:

1. The Trail of Tears.
2. Rejecting boatloads of German Jewish immigrants.
3. Internment of Japanese-American citizens.
4. Allowing black men to suffer from untreated syphilis.
5. Giving blankets contaminated with smallpox to indians.

The only documented attempt to infect Indians with smallpox was the dirty work of Swiss mercenaries serving the British crown before the United States’ founding as a constitutional republic. I honestly don’t care whether he gets that honor or not, the sooner he is gone from the face of this earth the better. I can’t recall saying that about many people in my life - I don’t wish bad things on people - but I want him gone. Forever. And soon.

The president’s whiplash-inducing order caught several people by surprise. Just a day before Mr. Trump signed it, one person close to the president said that he told advisers that separating families at the border was the best deterrent to illegal immigration and that he said that “my people love it.”

I now go to bed every night praying that my president, Lord Dampnut, will slip the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God. Sadly, every morning I awake horribly disappointed. My prayers never seem to be heard, I wish I was more worthy of an answer.

Perhaps if I pray that Drumpf merely strokes out, maybe that would be the more humane and more spiritual approach. Quite possibly, a humbler petition might have better results.

And then on to Mike Pence. This could be very tough, however -- he actually talks to God. One step at a time, I suppose.

Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray the Lord, Trump's soul to keep.

The spectacle of Il Boobce getting the full dress Presidential state funeral treatment is wretch-inducing, but when put on the scale versus the benefit of having him immediately removed from being able to do any further damage to the country, its institutions, its national security, and the rule of law, it's a small price to pay...

Actually I was going to suggest that we ship them to Russia...

The Russian population has been declining, so they could certainly use an influx of immigrants, and since the average life expectancy for Mexicans is about six years longer than for Russians, they would represent an infusion of healthier people into the population...

Plus they would be able to grow up in a strong country like Russia, rather than pitiful, weak America...

North Vietnam was a fourth rate military power if they could shit all over the US I see no reason a second rate power like Russia couldn’t do the same thing. After all, the purchase of Alaska was illegal. Alaska was stolen from the Russian people; The Czar’s brother colluded with American agents to cheat the Russian people. Somewhere in a Kremlin archive there is a document that proves collusion. I am sure the Russians will be able to find it.

I might change my mind after the mid terms but as I see it now the patina of legitimacy he will gain from a state funeral will do far more damage than an increasingly marginalized and shamed figurehead in name only. And that is only if he manages to serve out his term.

At the moment the only way I’d like to see Donnie go is if he has a moment of clarity and decides to pull a Bud Dwyer.

I suffered as child at the hands of a giant step father; I have empathy for children, but I blame the liberals. They won’t do anything about the open southern border. So if we are going have open borders we should have totally open borders, no port of entry, no controls at all coming or going. Or are you mother fuckers too hypocritical for that.

You must be taking mind-altering drugs.

President Obama earned the moniker 'Deporter in Chief' because his administration so significantly stepped up deportations, more than any prior President. His administration also caged children during the Central American unaccompanied minors migrant crisis, too - I'm not lauding that, I'm just pointing out that it's more evidence of how ridiculous your assertion that liberals haven't done anything about the 'open borders'.

It's the Republicans who had refused to act on immigration reform, playing to their base voters who don't want any kind of reform except to close off immigration entirely - because they are ignorant and don't understand that without immigrants our economy will collapse given that our birth rate is for shit and there are millions of jobs entitled white Americans refuse to take.
