in the past two generations, john McCain has been the dominant force in naval policy and funding.

this is his navy and it is sad.

I ll speak ill of him now, as he sees fit to still join the fray.

On Friday, 12 Russian military intelligence officers were indicted for a hacking operation to undermine the US 2016 Presidential election, and today the Russian-backed winner of that election publicly revealed himself to be a complete and unapologetic pawn and sycophant for that regime...

And THIS is what you choose to spend your time posting about?

Well Jim, it may well depend what the size of the picture is being compared with; what could it be that involves Trump and is very small?

You are a lunatic and an idiot. The link in the OP has absolutely nothing to do with John McCain; he is not even mentioned. Do you think that in his his position as a Senator he goes through all the bills submitted to the 7th Fleet by outside vendors? Are you that desperate to find something to use to smear McCain because he opposes Trump's idiocy?

As for McCain being a hero, the fact that he chose to spend years as a POW in North Vietnam when he could have taken advantage of his family connections to get released from that horror demonstrated far more courage than you would have had. I am no fan of McCain, but to denigrate his service in an effort to sully his honor is pretty pathetic -- especially coming from a cowardly weasel like you.

between the VA and the Navy, john McCain s malign influence and corruption has infiltrated the very soul of our Services.

I only read the first line of your post, so far......, maybe there is more to say.....

oh, I see..., personal atteack....., lovely.... innefective but lovely....

you just google the things I mentioned sweetie....

maybe you ll learn something.

fat leonard had everything to do with McCain....

I m curious as to your speakings of McCain when he ran against Pres Obama.....

McCain's navy?

So a mere captain (equivalent to a colonel), not even an admiral (general) commands the entire navy--practically owns it. And he is also responsible for the transgressions of others in the navy with no connection to him. and somehow, these non connections wipe out all the meritroious service he was commended and awarded prestigious medals for, not to mention the permanent disability he sffers becase his hands were bound by his captors for so long. . and why? Because a guy who complans his feet hurt too much to serve says so, come on wes.

I didn't vote for McCain, and don't share many of his poltitical poisitions , but the man is a hero, pure and simple.

Sure Wes, rant on.

And look up his war and naval record, include the medals awarded, if you really doubt his is a hero.

Again, I take the word of his superiors and those who served with him over the bone spur draft dodger.

I thought I would use this smear diversion thread as an opportunity to post something truly worthwhile; Sen. McCain's eloquent and spot on evaluation of the so-called President's borderline treasonous performance today, in it's entirety:
SASC CHAIRMAN JOHN McCAIN ON TRUMP-PUTIN MEETING

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement today on President Trump’s meeting and press conference with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki:

“Today’s press conference in Helsinki was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory. The damage inflicted by President Trump’s naiveté, egotism, false equivalence, and sympathy for autocrats is difficult to calculate. But it is clear that the summit in Helsinki was a tragic mistake.

“President Trump proved not only unable, but unwilling to stand up to Putin. He and Putin seemed to be speaking from the same script as the president made a conscious choice to defend a tyrant against the fair questions of a free press, and to grant Putin an uncontested platform to spew propaganda and lies to the world.

“It is tempting to describe the press conference as a pathetic rout – as an illustration of the perils of under-preparation and inexperience. But these were not the errant tweets of a novice politician. These were the deliberate choices of a president who seems determined to realize his delusions of a warm relationship with Putin’s regime without any regard for the true nature of his rule, his violent disregard for the sovereignty of his neighbors, his complicity in the slaughter of the Syrian people, his violation of international treaties, and his assault on democratic institutions throughout the world.

“Coming close on the heels of President Trump’s bombastic and erratic conduct towards our closest friends and allies in Brussels and Britain, today’s press conference marks a recent low point in the history of the American Presidency. That the president was attended in Helsinki by a team of competent and patriotic advisors makes his blunders and capitulations all the more painful and inexplicable.

“No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant. Not only did President Trump fail to speak the truth about an adversary; but speaking for America to the world, our president failed to defend all that makes us who we are—a republic of free people dedicated to the cause of liberty at home and abroad. American presidents must be the champions of that cause if it is to succeed. Americans are waiting and hoping for President Trump to embrace that sacred responsibility. One can only hope they are not waiting totally in vain.”

That right there explains a lot about you and your peculiar idea of integrity.  You say there's a problem, you're given your opportunity — your privilege to vote — to fix it, but you don't do nuthin'.  Then you stand in the gallery and piss and shit on those who are trying to improve things.

You're no better than the heckler that NBA baller Stephen Curry called out during a practice round for a celeb golf tourney last week.  After making a bad shot from a sand trap, someone who is almost as big a douche-nozzle as you got on his case.  Curry threw another ball down in the sand and invited him to come out of the crowd and hit the shot.  To the guy's credit, he did ... with the expected amateurish results.

You, ya pansy, not only wouldn't have the cojones to man up like that, you'd probably take off running like a raped ape the other way.

no, BB, I didn t vote because I thought both candidates were bad.

I could have wasted a vote on nader or some commie, but I chose to stay home....

I didn t stay home in 2016 and I won t be staying home in 2018 or 2020.

so many people stopped voting because they saw nothing worth voting for.

that has changed.

Yes, McCain was a junior officer who was frequently performing at less than expectations. But expectations were somewhere near the peak of Mt. Everest. His father was a four-star admiral with an impeccable record through out his career, and so was his grandfather McCain was an average leader and average fighter pilot, constantly noted for being less than his father. But please observe that 'average' for a Navy pilot is very extraordinary indeed, among aviators in general. He was shot down and taken prisoner. POTUS said, war prisoners are losers. POTUS likes winners. Once McCain was down in that hell on earth that was NV POW camps, he became a different man. Some would say his Naval Heritage finally came through. As a prisoner of war, future Senator McCain went far beyond the call of duty or expectations for any sailor or Commissioned Officer. He never was awarded the little blue ribbon with the tiny white stars, but if I ever was in his physical presence I would salute him. WESW you should hang your head in shame.
