Down here it's referred to as taint.

Taint one or the other...

Also: ABC (ass-balls-connection), Twernt (Because if it twernt there your guts would fall out) and technically accurate but boring- perineum.

Haldane got a good rhyme out of perineum:

http://nsm.uh.edu/~dgraur/Texts/Cancerhaldane.htm

"...
So I was wheeled into the theatre

Where holes were made to make me better.

One set is in my perineum

Where I can feel, but can’t yet see ‘em. ... "

Any other poems with perineum rhymed?

yrs,

P.S. Get well soon. Maybe you should get a desk you can stand at? Like Peter the Great or Rumsfeld.

Right now I've got a couple of new projects underway and I've picked up some new clients, so between that and my family responsibilities, I'm pretty swamped. (Especially since when one reaches my advanced age, one only has so much energy.... )

I will probably only be posting sporadically for the next couple of months.

Oldr, I think we're about the same age, (I'm 51) but your kid is in college....

Mine are 11 and 18 months.....they require considerable energy.... 8-)

Especially now that Jimmy has discovered the joys of walking....and running...and falling....

Useable legs represent an enormous technological advance for a child....

They can get into so much more mischief so much faster....

I'll be 53 in June. Children are a young mans game.
Wait til you're late 60-something and have to teach him how to drive.

52 and Hatch is 15. It's actually wonderful warm and lovely watching her grow and mature, she's a fine kid.

Hey, she turns 16 in 2 weeks time, perhaps we can have a birthday thread for her here. One without any sexual accusations, slander and shit flinging.....

Now what would be the fun in that? J/K

Do you guys do the "Sweet 16" coming out party down under? We spent about $2000 on my daughters. I turned around and gave my son $2000 to compensate him on not having a party. The wife was saying I shouldn't but the daughter got back via gifts about $2K so I figureed, fair is fair. Why should he lose out just cause he's a guy.

Some do.

What we are doing for her birthday is holding a picnic for her and her friends (about 20) at a local park.

The cost requirement will be minimal. (Tub full of cold drinks, platters of sushi and bbq chicken drums, salads, fruit and pavlova. I am allowed to go retro and provide helium balloons as well as party favours from KoKoBlack. She will take some speakers along to hook up i-pods for music and a number of games they enjoy playing.)

She will be able to hold this picnic unsupervised on the proviso that should it get a bit rowdy, she will immediately call us and I will send the 'boys' over to calm things down.

I reckon I should get out of it for around $300 - $400.
Bah!

Funny, Hatch has the southern hemi equivalent of my birthday - close to exactly if she is around 2 weeks away. Around here, August is the best time of the year to have a celebration. Down there, I can imagine it being February!

Happy Sweet Sixteen, chickling!

I could think of better celebrations. I'm sure Hen was not enjoying herself.
