German police have rescued a man after he called for help saying a baby squirrel would not leave him alone.
Emergency services received a call on Thursday from the man, who claimed he was being chased down the street by the tiny animal.
Police in Karlsruhe said the unnamed man called them in desperation after he was unable to shake off the small rodent.
Officers sent a patrol car out to investigate and arrived to find the chase still in full flow. But the drama ended suddenly when the squirrel, apparently exhausted by its exertions, lay down abruptly and fell asleep.
Officers took pity on the animal, which had probably become separated from its mother.

Re: Germans have gone soft
well, it is nostalgia time. My memories of early youth include a strong awareness of food rationing during the War to End All Wars part II. As an alternative to black-market and thus unpatriotic feasts, Catfish, Rabbit, Squirrel are all fond memories. More than twenty years later, my wife-to-be made an honest judgement of my mother's cooking as plain and ordinary, but she really can make fried rabbit wonderful.
So LJ, I pity you if you never experience real Brunswick Stew, made with fresh killed squirrels. Biggest problem is it takes alot of them. But in this part of the world they are so common and unafraid of people, it is easy, given that one be a bit discreet and not frighten other people with the device, to shoot them with a pellet pistol.
'Course that is also illegal.

Being started by Gob and all I thought this thread was going to be about a new trend in porn.
