J: You just can't keep making your own laws. There's got to be one set of laws fair for everyone, including you.
B: That's fine. When that set of laws is applied to everyone, then I'll turn the other cheek too.
J: There's got to be a better way to change those people.
B: CHANGE those people? You worked with King, didn't you?
J: Yes!
B: Where is he?
J: Dead.
B: And where's Bob and Jack Kennedy?
J: Dead.
B: Not "dead", their brains blown out! Because YOUR people wouldn't even put the same controls on their guns as they do on their dogs, their bicycles, their cats, and their automobiles.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Name That Movie!
That's the right type of movie and time period, Meade, but not the one.
B: Martin, do you know what mental toughness is? Well, mental toughness is the ability to accept the fact that you're human and that you're going to make mistakes - lots of 'em - all your life. And some of them are gonna hurt people that you love very badly. But you have the guts to accept the fact that you ain't perfect. And you don't let your mistakes crush you and keep you from doing the very best that you can.

Ray, you are ahead of your time; so very close!
Re: Name That Movie!
I'd bet a quote from the theme song would help.
Re: Name That Movie!
I always preferred the initial version by the Original Caste over the cover by Coven that was used for the movie.

Re: Name That Movie!
I think I would agree with you, but it's been years since I heard either, so I can't say for certain. However, I'm pretty sure I liked the song before the movie (likely 68 or 69), so I imagine that is the Original Caste version (and I liked the movie version as well). As I recall, Skeeter Davis (primarily a country singer but she charted on the pop charts with "End of the World") and Cher also had covers (but I don't think Cher's cover charted very high).
ETA: I googled it, and it appears Joan Baez and Judy Collins covered it as well.

Re: Name That Movie!
For some reason Meade's image didn't show up on any of my computers, but I was surprised to see he did not have the correct answer with his entry of The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn. Maybe another quote will kick loose someone's memory:
B: Being an Indian is not a matter of blood... it's a way of life.

Well, if it's not Tin Tin, it must be:

Re: Name That Movie!
Is he able to get the right answer? No, he can't can't.
PLEASE, Please, please - Name That Movie! PLEASE!
OK, one more stab at this.

Well Long Run, since I had the movie immediately prior to you, I'm not eligible this round...

Maybe this quote will help:
Now at last they had their treasure,
On that mountain bathed in red,
Turned the stone and looked beneath it,
Peace on Earth was all it said

Turned the stone and looked beneath it,
