According to the POS-In-Chief, the revised death toll figures for Hurricane Maria are all about...

Wait for it...

Him... :o

(Betcha never saw that coming...)
Trump disputes Puerto Rico hurricane death toll

"3000 people did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico," Mr Trump wrote on Twitter, without offering evidence for the claim.

He accused Democrats of inflating the official death toll to "make me look as bad as possible".

The official figure was released last month after an independent study.

On Thursday, Mr Trump tweeted that Democrats were attacking him "when I was successfully raising Billions of Dollars to help rebuild Puerto Rico".

The Republican president suggested the hurricane death toll was artificially boosted by adding those who had passed away from natural causes such as old age.

"Bad politics. I love Puerto Rico!" he tweeted.

Mr Trump's tweets came as Hurricane Florence - a category two storm projected to bring catastrophic flooding - bore down on the US East Coast.

He accused Democrats of inflating the official death toll to "make me look as bad as possible".
He then accused the democrats of sending operatives down to PR to kill people and make it look like they died in the hurricane because "they want so much to to make me look bad and derail the great job I am doing to make America great again."

It will never occur to the dumbshit in chief that if he did any kind of research on a subject before he talked about it, he wouldn't put himself in a position of having to explain why he has made such outrageously stupid statements and accusations.

Of corse it wouldn't; because a man who thinks he knows everything would never think of doing research.

Rick Scott breaks with Trump, defends Puerto Rico death estimates

Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R), who's running for Senate, broke with President Trump on Thursday, pushing back on the president's claim that hurricane death estimates for Puerto Rico were inflated by Democrats.

Puerto Rico's government commissioned an independent report that raised the death toll from last year's Hurricane Maria to 2,975.

"The loss of any life is tragic; the extent of lives lost as a result of Maria is heart wrenching," Scott tweeted.

I disagree with @POTUS– an independent study said thousands were lost and Gov. Rosselló agreed. I've been to Puerto Rico 7 times & saw devastation firsthand. The loss of any life is tragic; the extent of lives lost as a result of Maria is heart wrenching. I'll continue to help PR

Approximately 1.2 million Puerto Ricans are now living in Florida, making them a key voting bloc heading into the midterm elections.

A Quinnipiac University poll from early September showed Scott in a dead heat with Sen. Bill Nelson (D) in the Senate race, with both candidates tied at 49 percent among likely voters.

Scott in recent weeks has been distancing himself from Trump, whose approval rating is 49 percent, with disapproval at 47 percent, according to a Morning Consult poll from August.

Trump has been largely supportive of Scott, urging him last year to run against Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.). Trump spoke at a campaign rally for Scott in July.

Scott has run a very intelligent campaign, (in addition to putting some distance between himself and The Orange One, he also expanded his appeal by signing off on gun control legislation opposed by the NRA) which is why that of all the tough seats in the Senate the Dems are defending this year, the Florida seat is the one they are most likely to lose...
