Name That Movie!
Re: Name That Movie!
this is a tough one; I know I've seen the film and can even recall two of the leads, but I have no idea what the title is. the line is a favorite of mine which I have used several times.

G M: I will try and put this as politely as possible, H... what the fuck are you doing in my office?
H P: Bob says I'm supposed to help out with the reorganization report.
G M: Uh huh. Let me rephrase the question -
[shouts]
G M: what the fuck are you doing in my office?
H P: Bob just thought it was crazy not to have a computer in here.
G M: It's not the *computer*, it's you and your goddamn desk!
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Name That Movie!
This may surprise you, shock you even, but after looking this one up, I had never heard of it even though it has a fine cast and decent rating.

Re: Name That Movie!
Is it, "A Witch Called Fonda"?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Name That Movie!
No
G M: Whoa, let's not all panic - you, you, and you panic; the rest stay calm.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

I'm impressed Jim, I had to google it; it was the movie I was thinking of, but I couldn't recall the name of the life of me.
Re: Name That Movie!
So I guess I should give up then?

PLEASE, Please, please - Name That Movie! PLEASE!
Oh, no, by all means. please keep throwing out hints. I'm still trying to figure this one out.Crackpot wrote:So I guess I should give up then?

That's my favorite of the Brett series...
(It's also a little darker than most of them...)

Okay, I just consulted my copy of The Secret Rules Of The Plan B Movie Quote Game. and Article 3 , Section 9, paragraph 12 clearly states:
"In the event that a movie shall not have been correctly guessed for a period of a least one week, the You Must Sit Out A Turn Rule is suspended, and the person who had the immediately preceding movie becomes eligible to compete in the contest"
So:

"A Shock To the System"
"In the event that a movie shall not have been correctly guessed for a period of a least one week, the You Must Sit Out A Turn Rule is suspended, and the person who had the immediately preceding movie becomes eligible to compete in the contest"
So:

"A Shock To the System"

PLEASE, Please, please... Name That Movie!
Wha-what... "A Shock To the System"?
Man, I was just about ready to guess this.

Re: Name That Movie!
that's it Jim; thanks for giving the tile. I recall Michael Caine and Elizabeth McGovern in it, but had no recollection of the title.
Re: Name That Movie!
You got it jim
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Name That Movie!
You probably had to be a hardcore Michael Caine fan to get it; it's not one of his better known flicks...
Okay, this is a pretty new movie (released in the last couple of years) that I just recently saw (which should be a Big Fat Clue for anyone keeping up with other thread discussions)
First quote (there are so many good ones, it's hard to pick):

First quote (there are so many good ones, it's hard to pick):
A: Care to give it a watch while I wander over to that burger joint?
B: Would you order me something while you're there? I'm starving.
A: I doubt they serve pemmican.
B: You know I'm part Mexican, too.
A: Yeah, well, I'm gonna get to that when I'm through with the Indian insults, but it's gonna be a while.
