I don’t know that much about her; I just saw an interview with him on Chris Hayes’s MSNBC show and was very impressed - he’s very well informed and apparently working very enthusiastically on get out the vote and to address disenfranchisement in Florida, where they have a ballot measure to abolish lifetime disenfranchisement for felons.

In general I’m up with women, though.

Well informed or not, I would hope that Trump has shown us what putting celebrities in the WH leads to. Have we really given up on putting people in there who know how the system works and how to get things done? Are we that cynical?

By that measure we should be running career Congressional staffers, not the egos who sit it many of the seats.

Generally I would agree with you Big RR, but I’m coping with the realization that the system I’ve believed in since I was a child watching Schoolhouse Rock, the system I studied and tracked almost obsessively as a teenager and college PoliSci major and then as a law student who chose Georgetown over higher ranked schools so I could be in DC where governing happened - that system has gone all ducked up beyond recognition. At this point, I’m open to anything that gets Donald Trump and his pack of dangerous idiots GONE.

I understand, but then 4 years of a celebrity able to do nothing is not something I look forward to; and if both parties run this sort of candidate I seriously fear for our country. It's like giving the people the choice of Hitler or Stalin--sure there are differences, but the only rational choice is none of the above.

Trump has no conscience; it takes a conscience to feel shame enough to resign. Not to mention that much of the country has lost its moral compass concerning self interested behavior like tax evasion.
