W: Yeah.

J: or whether you *don't* hear me typing, or whatever the *fuck* you hear me doing; when I'm in here, it means that I am working, *that* means don't come in. Now, do you think you can handle that?

W: Yeah.

J: Good. Now why don't you start right now and get the fuck out of here? Hm?
This was such a fantastic performance; just reading that exchange I can still visualize the facial expressions and body language utilized by J in delivering that toxic stream of abusive contempt to W.

I found that movie truly terrifying - still do all these years later.

Trying to find quotes that won’t outright give it away is tricky
Larry, just between you and me, we got a very serious problem with the people taking care of the place. They turned out to be completely unreliable assholes.

Apropos of absolutely nothing my son has a couple pairs of identical stuffed animals. I have on occasion grabbed them and had them ask my son to “come play with us for ever and ever and ever..”.

For some reason this comes to mind:
W? Darling? Light, of my life. I'm not gonna hurt ya. You didn't let me finish my sentence. I said, I'm not gonna hurt ya. I'm just going to bash your brains in!

Gonna bash 'em right the fuck in!

Going by previous precedent that any post containing the words of the title wins I declare BSG has it!

Shelley Duvall was on Dr. Phil's a few seasons back. The years have not been kind to her.

I recall that interview, and it revealed what a publicity whore Dr Phil is; he/his show hyped it in commercials, and the show put her mental illness out there for all to see. The poor woman needed help, and Dr Phl just wanted to use her and her condition for ratings.

I recall that there was a subsequent effort in Hollywood to rase money and get her help, but I can't recall where it went.

Okay, since it's been five days I think it's pretty clear that BSG is not going to pick up the next clue, so I am going to interpret that as this now being a freebie for anyone to have a go...

Since I already had one picked out, I'm going to take it:

This is from a movie in the other Halloween season appropriate genre besides horror...

Science fiction...

A lot of cheesy, schlocky low budget sci-fi movies were made in the 1950s...(I've probably seen most of them)

But this isn't one of them...

It was made in the 50s, but it wasn't a low budget deal starring people you've never heard of, who maybe worked in one or two other equally obscure flicks...

It was one of a handful of serious, well-made sci-fi classics of that period; it was produced by a major studio, and it starred a very distinguished well known actor of the era and a well known young actress, and another young actor who would go on to become very well known...

In fact this film is considered by many (film critics and sci-fi afficianados) to have been a template for "modern" sci-fi movies and TV shows...(at least in the sub genre of sci-fi involving futuristic space exploration; Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and many others all owe this film a debt...)

a couple of quotes:
Another one of them new worlds. No beer, no women, no pool parlors, nothin'. Nothin' to do but throw rocks at tin cans, and we gotta bring our own tin cans.
A: If you do not speak English I am at your disposal with 187 other languages along with their various dialects and sub-tongues.

B: Colloquial English will do fine, thank you.
