My team is going!
How ‘bout yours?

The Phillies bowed out early in order to give the Red Sox a fighting chance in the World Series. Their strategy is working so far.
As for the Phillies... wait til next year. They'll be well rested, and raring to go.

My team is still in the hunt. Fighting for their post-season lives after taking two straight losses at Chavez Ravine, they bounced back with a 7-2 victory Friday night ... so it all comes down to a single game, and we've got home-field advantage.
I like our chances. Far better than the shot I had at the Megamillions jackpot....

Both of my teams ( The Giants and the Nationals) crapped out so I really don't have a dog in this fight...
I would have rooted for the Brewers (If neither of my teams can make it , it's nice to see an underdog prevail) but now I suppose I'll have to root for the Red Sox because, you know, Dodgers...

Spoken like a guy who already fully expects his team to lose...

A pox on both teams.
Being a SF Giants fan, I automatically hate the LA Dodgers.
Being a National League fan, the other league with its DH rule is for chumps.
So, it boils down to which team do I dislike the least?
Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox and their fans...
I haven't been this excited about a sporting event since the last UK versus Australia "Ashes" cricket series...

Is it over? Good.
Now we can focus our attention on a
different set of millionaires playing with their balls.

Because they were so damned good this season the crowning was inevitable?
To be honest I didn’t get excited about the Series this year either; I was at the start, hence the thread - but then the horrifying reality of how broken my country is came brutally clear this past week and made it hard to feel any joy about anything.

Translation: There's no way the Dodgers are going to win the Series, so enjoy the moment.

There's a word for the teams and their fans who like to make that speech....
"Losers"...
"Winning the World Series was a nice bonus but the real prize was just playing in the series, so we were already winners"...
Said no fan of the team that
won the World Series, ever....

funny story about many machado....
when he played for the shorebirds, he lived in a house that I later rented, and my landlord introduced my son to him, he autographed his bat, when my son was about 9.
this kid sawed it off one day at the plate....
anyway , he played dirty when he kicked that guy, and it was only fitting that he was the last strikeout.

Me, I loved this series. Just what I needed in an era of sound bites and 30 second attention spans.
All honor to you, BSG.
