Billionaire George Soros Earmarks $500 Million For Migrants And Refugees
Hedge fund billionaire George Soros said on Tuesday that he is giving $500 million of his nonprofit organization's funds to be invested on work opportunities for migrants and refugees, especially those arriving into Europe.
Soros' announcement, made in a Wall Street Journal op-ed, comes as the United Nations convenes for its General Assembly in New York City. On Monday it hosted its first forum for Heads of State to discuss how to handle what's been dubbed the world's biggest refugee and migrant crisis since World War II. According to the U.N., 65.3 million people have been displaced from their homes by conflict and persecution in 2015. Since the crisis escalated last year, Europe has been struggling with how to handle the inflow of migrants.
"I will invest in startups, established companies, social-impact initiatives and businesses founded by migrants and refugees themselves," Soros wrote. "Although my main concern is to help migrants and refugees arriving in Europe, I will be looking for good investment ideas that will benefit migrants all over the world."
Soros, 86, is a refugee himself. He fled Hungary in 1946 and spent his teenage years as a migrant in London. He worked as a railway porter and waiter to put himself through the London School of Economics and later moved to New York where he got his start working on Wall Street. In 1969 he established his own hedge fund, the Quantum Fund, with $12 million. Today Forbes estimates Soros' net worth at $24.9 billion.
Through his Open Society foundations, Soros has said he plans to give away more than $11 billion in his lifetime. According to Soros, the latest $500 million investment earmarked toward refugees and migrants will be owned by his nonprofit foundation, and will be investments rather than grants. "They are intended to be successful—because I want to show how private capital can play a constructive role helping migrants—and any profits will go to fund programs at the Open Society Foundations, including programs that benefit migrants and refugees," Soros wrote.

That's what Soros wants you to believe. He's actually paying Muslims and M-13 members to invade the US. Viva El Trumpo!!

Mr. Soros: I'm still waiting for my check for taking part in all those marches. I may have to transfer my allegiance to Mr. Trump: at least I know he will pay up, because he keeps his promises.

I wish I worked for George Soros.

XKA: Did you follow the procedure in the handbook? First you have to get your attendance confirmation card signed by your local cadre leader and then validated by the district Antifa commander. After that you can submit the card, along with your expense sheet and receipts, to Janice in Accounting. If you didn't get the right approvals, or you filled out the pink expense sheet instead of the yellow one, they'll bounce the whole thing. Even if you dotted all the Is and crossed all the Ts, I understand Payroll has been backed up pretty much since the Women's March, so it's taking forever to get the checks out.ex-khobar Andy wrote:Mr. Soros: I'm still waiting for my check for taking part in all those marches..

Hillary Clinton remains the Democrats best chance to defeat Trump in 2020
She beat Donald J. Trump last time.
At least, by the popular vote.
Can she do it again this time, for real?
Hillary Clinton may be gearing up for a third run for president of the United States. Even as a two-time loser, she could be the Democratic Party’s best chance of ending the Trump presidency.
Wednesday marks the unofficial kickoff of the 2020 presidential contest. Some among the hordes of Democratic aspirants have already started. Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey and Sen. Kamala Harris of California have been stumping in Iowa.
Last month, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont made a nine-state circuit of mid-term campaigning, from Arizona to Florida.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts has even been showcasing her DNA test to verify her Native American roots.
But if Clinton gets in, it could all be for naught.
Rumors of a return engagement have been rumbling for weeks, with Clinton’s supporters and former aides stirring the pot.
Then last week in an interview, Clinton was asked:
“Do you want to run again?”
“No, no,” she replied to Kara Swisher, a journalist at Recode, a technology news web site.
Swisher pushed.
“Well, I’d like to be president,” Clinton said.
Being president, she explained, is “work that I feel very well-prepared for having been in the Senate for eight years, having been a diplomat in the State Department.”
Clinton went on to detail her august resume of governmental service.
However, she added, she won’t think about a possible run until after the elections.
That would be Wednesday.
Hillary, again?
Before you run screaming into the night, allow me to note:
The voters chose her in 2016. And there’s a lot of interest again.
A report about Clinton’s comments in The Hill, a Washington, D.C.-based political web site, has been shared more than 62,000 times.
Clinton remains the best-known and most accomplished potential Democratic candidate in the nation. She and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, bring immense star power.
There is a greater determination than ever, across the nation, to elect the first women president, thanks to Donald Trump and the Me-Too movement.
And millions of voters — not just diehard Democrats — believe they were robbed in 2016. They crave payback.
A Trump/Clinton rematch would be the riveting political story of the century.
Clinton’s entry into the race would surely scramble the field of presidential candidates.
Sanders, Clinton’s 2016 competitor, is getting old fast; and if the Sanders Revolution couldn’t take out Clinton four two years ago, what’s different now?
Clinton is playing coy, but we’ll know more soon.
On Nov. 18, Bill and Hillary Clinton will launch a nationwide tour of 13 cities, kicking off in Las Vegas.
The show, dubbed “An Evening with President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton,” has been organized by Live Nation.
“From the American presidency to the halls of the Senate and State Department to one of the United States’ most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections, they provide a unique perspective on the past, and remarkable insight into where we go from here,” the show’s web site declares.
Bring some long green. Ticket prices will range from $750 to $72 per person, reports Fortune magazine.
If the Clintons pack them in, consider that a valuable gauge of Hillary’s viability.
Does Hillary still sell?

I didn't realize it had to go through Janice in Accounting. If that's the case, I'm toast. Last time I was there I complimented her on her pink hat, and she thought that I was making a very personal comment. Not good. I think I'm probably at the bottom of her pile.Sue U wrote:XKA: Did you follow the procedure in the handbook? Oh man, you'll never see that check and I'll tell you why: Janice in Accounting don't give a fuck.ex-khobar Andy wrote: I didn't realize it had to go through Janice in Accounting.
