Well, with beer hats not appropriate in their culture, they have to improvise; that and with the Super Bowl results, cheese heads are hard to come by.

My understanding is that protesters took to wearing all kinds of makeshift 'helmets' to guard against assault by the pro-Mubarak thugs who took to the streets several days before the regime fell.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
