What advice are you giving your clients?
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

In a PM to me, Jim advised me to invest in Russian snow-friendly weapons and Arctic military underwear and outerwear. I didn't ask him why.

And of course Trump's expert Mnuchkin (yes I know there's no K there but it looks so much better like that) has assured us that there is no liquidity problem at the banks. He phoned all of them just to make sure. WTFFFFFFFF? (as Bret Kavanaugh would say) - no-one said there was - or did they? It reminds me of the story of the old Chinese merchant who was so worried that thieves would steal all his money that he hid it in the walls of his house. To make doubly sure he put up a sign saying: "There is no money hidden in this wall."
Maybe someone who is an economist can enlighten me. We know from a NYT story a few weeks ago that many companies put their tax savings into buying back their stocks. So the DJIA, NASDAQ etc are falling wildly at a time when there is a few hundred billion (a trillion by some estimates) looking for a home. How is this going to look when we see the balance sheets for this quarter and this year? And what will be the effect of those losses? If you buy a capital asset at $100 and it's worth $90 at the end of the year you take a $10 loss. That's fine for machine tools and hardware because it goes on the books as depreciation. I think losses on stocks will just go into the yearly statement like cash.

What did the liberal American “patriot” Armand Hammer invest in the Soviet Union? He made a fortune aiding the (enemy) communist. I myself am leaning towards Russian state titles to Canadians properties. You could get them for a steal and they could pay off big someday. I have been thinking about writing or calling or visiting Russian embassy to discuss the ideas.Joe Guy wrote:In a PM to me, Jim advised me to invest in Russian snow-friendly weapons and Arctic military underwear and outerwear. I wrote this as a whimsical flight of imagination, but the more I think about it the more I think something like it could take on a life of it’s on and become a self-fulfilling prophesy. If the Russian government sold these titles to Canadian properties as a novelty, and if American bought them and it became a fad. There would be millions of Americans with a financial interest in a Russian takeover of Canadian and in opposition to American involvement. It would almost be worth it to watch the Canadians squirm. There is nothing like humiliating Canadians to make one feel good.liberty wrote:What did the liberal American “patriot” Armand Hammer invest in the Soviet Union? Because Scooter is Canadian and handed your ass on a plate numerous times in these forums?
That couldn't be it.
Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

And now the Dow has its biggest one day upswing ever, and POTUS is going to visit the troops in Iraq.

And The Wheels Continue To Come Off...
As I heard it, upon landing in Iraq, Cadet Bone Spurs had an immediate and excruciating flare-up from his well documented foot ailment and had to cut the surprise troop visit short. Three hours is all our great leader could manage before returning to AF-1 and flying back home. It has been said he is now back at his desk in the Oval Office and resting comfortably.

I am always left to wonder if my active ulcer beat bone spurs as a symptom to avoid the draft. Maybe I'll check WebMD.

Hammer was such a "liberal" that he was a supporter of the Republican Party, and in particular, of Richard Nixon's presidential campaigns. Some of his contributions were illegal, for which he was pardoned by another well known "liberal", George H.W. Bush. The Village Idiot wrote:the liberal American “patriot” Armand Hammer

Did President Bone Spurs really reveal the location and identities of Navy Seals stationed in Iraq?!

He did, by posing with them for undisguised photos which were publicized. This is worse than Valerie Plame's outing, he has probably rendered them useless for future ops and thus ended their careers.
I'm sure that wes will find a way to explain how that is a good thing.

Re: And The Wheels Continue To Come Off...
Let's stay focused on the Trump idiocies. I don't see that as being his fault: he went to Iraq and there were some soldiers there - if having their photos taken with the President is their thing, I hardly think it's up to the president to tell them no. Their commanding officer should have known that there would be reporters and cameras there and should have made it clear to the press that photos were not allowed of these specific personnel - and the press would have honoured that request. I think calling this worse than Plame is a stretch.

RT, I think your signature line is inaccurate and unfair. Children - or young people - didn’t elect Trump, and it’s not fair to compare him to a child either. He’s very clearly an egomaniacal, angry old white man with typical angry old white man prejudices.
