Trump serves 'fast food' to NCAA Championship football team

Post by Bicycle Bill »

(CNN) — On Monday night, President Donald Trump hosted the Clemson University football team at the White House to celebrate the team's victory in the national college playoffs.  Because of the government shutdown, Trump decided to pay, out of pocket, for a boatload worth of fast food to feed the players.  And just before the team arrived, this photo was taken.

Is it wrong that when I looked at that spread it actually made me hungry?

Isn't 'fast food' supposed to be FAST? How long were all those boxes sitting around before anybody actually began to eat them? (and no heat lamps)

Fast food is good if it’s hot - the moment it begins to cool it’s disgusting. I’m ashamed he fed them that on their likely once in a lifetime WH visit.

If this was the worst thing Trump ever did, people would be laughing and applauding him. People need to back off from criticizing him once in a while. Besides, he probably thought they weren't going to show up and he would have it all to himself. That shows an ability to consider all possibilities before making a decision.

I heard he served "all American food" like Wendy's, Burger King, McDonalds, and Pizza Hut ....
and made Taco Bell pay for it all.

Why is it that when you are in a MacDonald's it smells OK (assuming that you are not a ragin' vegan) but if someone has one two rows ahead of you on the plane it just smells foul?

Compared with meeting him, the fast food was a gourmet feast. Hell, I'd rather eat month old, ice cold McDonalds than meet Trump.

He did it again .....

This time, it's the North Dakota State Bisons football team that gets served 'Happy Meals'.

Image

Like Clemson, North Dakota State served fast food by President Trump at White House

Another national championship college football team visited the White House.  You’ll never guess what was on the menu for the players to eat.

North Dakota State, on the heels of its seventh FCS title in the past eight seasons, was greeted by a spread of fast food on Monday in Washington, D.C.  The members of the Bison football team had french fries, Chick-fil-A sandwiches and Big Macs to choose from, according to a White House pool report.
... but at least he put out the real plates instead of paper placemats on plastic trays .... (comment mine)

Read the rest — with additional pictures — here.  And no, it's not from the Onion ... although I had to check to make sure.
