Why is it that when you are in a public/work bathroom and taking a leak, a big fart (and hopefully only a fart) leaks out while there are people at urinals on either side of you?

This is a strange but true fact. And don't give me any of that probability crap. And I am older than dirt so I know these things.

It seems to be a bit more calculated than mere probability in my experience. Some sort of womanhood sympathetic moon cycle shite. Inquiring minds want to know.

It's not the moon cycle. It's pheromones. This is a widely studied phenomenon. Women who spend at least a few days a month together on a regular basis will eventually sync menstrual cycles. It's a hard-wired biological response - intended to maximize fertility, in that having all the females 'in heat' at the same time is optimal for when a male of the species shows up to play.
