Somehow I can find value the stories of Canterbury Tales without knowing any of the details or even the generalities of the life of the author. Same with the stories of Lee Child or Zenna Henderson.

Lee Childs is a liberal and I know that if I am going to try to be a good person I should not like his books. But he is a good writer that can tell an interesting story. At least he is one of the few liberal writers to have respect for Christians beliefs.
