It's clear this week that the SDNY (among others) is going after Trump Organization and the Trump family on RICO charges.
Mueller is the least of Trump's worries, and he is melting down hard.
Is there a political out that could be offered to Trump at this point? Should SDNY and the New York AG's office be compelled to quash criminal investigations/prosecutions in order to get this man to resign the Presidency and endorse a peaceful transfer of power?
Is Trump even capable of taking a good deal, should one be crafted by all the interested parties?
Discuss.

I find it fascinating that the chief exponent of RICO was one Rudolph Giuliani.
For those who love anagrams, rearrange the first four letters of Mr Giuliani's last name and the two letters of his predecessor, Mr. Cobb's, first name and what do you get?

Re: Let's Make a Deal
This is a question about which I have wondered...
Is there an Agnew-type solution to getting the most criminal and corrupt President in American history out of office? A way to swap an agreement that would keep him (and in Trump's case probably also his children) out of prison in exchange for him giving up his office and sparing the country an Impeachment process...
I think the answer is "in theory yes, but"....
And the "but" here is that you wouldn't just have to have federal prosecutors on board. In Trump's case, you'd also need state and local legal authorities in New York to sign on. (The NY Governor and state Attorney General, as well at the NYC DA's office)
It wouldn't make much sense for Trump to play the only chip (and a big chip it is) he has to avoid federal prosecution only to then face criminal indictment from state or local law enforcement...
But if they could be gotten on board, then yes, such a deal would certainly be in the best interest of the country and the American people.
