What kind of protest is in favor of the current government? What would be protested, that anyone dare to disagree with the current administration? Sounds more like a political pep rally (one carefully choreographed by the persons in power) than a protest.jim, after the last three years, doesn t realize that if similar protests were going on here...
...they would be in FAVOR of trump

Exactamundo. "Similar protests" would mean anti-government protests, demanding that the president resign.

No reporting? This morning I have watched on my cable tv reports of the protest action by yellow vests in french on France 24 (via PBS channel 39) and Newsy. On the other hand, neither covered the recent tornado in lower DelMarVa.

Re: have you seen the news?
Let's see. What am I going to use for my headline today?
Kim lets off more missiles? Trump and his BFF have an hour long conversation? Millions of people in India moved out from a cyclone's path? Gilets jaunes have 25th consecutive consecutive Saturday morning of protests and then they all go home for lunch?
Hmmm. I'll have to get back to you on that.
Besides, it's Derby Day here in the 'Ville.

You forgot the 737 with 100 plus passengers skidding off the runway into the water in Jacksonville...
