Doris Day and Peggy Lipton have died

Post by MGMcAnick »

Doris Day's heyday was a little before I was paying any attention, but the movies I saw as "oldies" were entertaining. She was OLD, 97. Pneumonia got her as it seems to be the cause of many older folks demise. Her new favorite song: "Que Sera, Sera. Cadaver Will Be Will Be".

Peggy Lipton was in Mod Squad which I watched when it was new and she was young and hot. I never got into Twin Peaks.

I hadn't heard about Peggy Lipton; I recall her in Mod Squad (never really cared for the show (I think it was aimed for a younger crowd), but I liked watching her in it) and was happy to see her many years later in Twin Peaks. She was 72? How come they all get older but I never do?

Mod Squad was popular when I lived in a large men's dorm during college. Few students had TVs in their rooms as reception was VERY poor without cable, and cable was not available in the rooms. If we wanted to watch TV, it was in a big room in the basement with a single TV. Mod Squad was one show that was agreeable to all. We agreed that Peggy Lipton was hot, even in black and white.
