Happy Independence Day!

. . .to all our American readers.

Now for a quiz.

I passed with 8/10. I am ashamed of one of the ones I got wrong - I essentially misread the question - but the other only 32% got it right. Considering that it's a four option multiple choice - so statistically you'd expect 25% randomly - I'm not too worried about that.

9/10 I missed the one on the authors of the Federalist Papers. I could protest that the original publication used nom de plume for the authors

We the people of The New York Times think that’s a strong finish.

74% of readers answered this correctly.

You got 10 out of 10 right.

Hail to the chief! You passed.

9/10...and I missed the same one snailgate missed, so I can reuse the same excuse he used.

Couldn't get past the paywall.
And their math is terrible.  It's only the fourth, and they're saying I've already viewed my ten free articles for the month?

Should have had 9, but clicked before reading all of the multiple guesses on one question.

As soon as I was done taking the test, ICE was at my front door asking for my birth certificate and SSN. I told them my score was low because I was dropped on my head when I was a kid and they gave me a break when I showed them the dent. They said if I wasn't white, they wouldn't have believed my score.

(actually I got a 9)

10/10, but I have to admit I wasn't sure about the answer to the Federalist papers question when I answered it--he just seemed to be the best guess.

Listen to the Hamilton soundtrack, or better yet go see it, and you'll get the answer.

10/10, which I attribute to a combination of junior high history classes and episodes of Schoolhouse Rock and the U.S. of Archie during the lead up to the Bicentennial.

Thank you Scooter. I doubt I could get 4/10 on a similar test about Canada.
