0r maybe it is just a diversi0n 0n my part.

nah..., I d0n t have that kind 0f pull, must be real.
Something need not be untrue to be a diversion...(though of course many of yours are)

Just relatively unimportant compared to the more serious and important matters it is intended to divert attention from...

What is truly hilarious, is a Trump supporter pretending to care about corruption...

It's damn near as funny as a Trump supporter pretending to care about honesty, or a Trump supporter pretending to care about the Constitution...

And yet NONE of the links you used to start this thread actually had anything to do with public corruption charges or convictions, and your posting today has no link at all nor any actual information about anything that may or may not be under investigation in Buffalo (where there apparently have been no charges, arrests or convictions related to whatever it is federal authorities are doing).

Pardon me if I don't trust what you "remember" for what qualifies as "big news." Jim correctly notes that with so much of the newshole being overwhelmed with the biggest corruption stories flowing out of the Trump Administration, there is simply not enough time or space to devote to the run-of-the-mill cases that are a fact of life when you put people in charge of other people and money:
Washington
F.B.I.'s Focus on Public Corruption Includes 2,000 Investigations

By DAVID JOHNSTON
MAY 11, 2006

WASHINGTON, May 10 — A post-9/11 effort by the F.B.I. to concentrate on public corruption now includes more than 2,000 investigations under way, highlighted by the Jack Abramoff lobbying inquiry, the racketeering and fraud conviction of former Gov. George Ryan of Illinois, and the multipronged corruption probes after the guilty plea by Randy Cunningham, a former Republican House member from San Diego, bureau officials said.

As one of the Bush administration's least known anticrime efforts, the F.B.I. initiative has yielded an unexpectedly rich array of cases. The results suggest that wrongdoing by public officials at all levels of government is deeply rooted and widespread. Several of the highest profile cases in which the F.B.I. played an active role involve Republicans.

Bureau officials believe that the investment in corruption cases is easily worth the cost. In 2004 and 2005, more than 1,060 government employees were convicted of corrupt activities, including 177 federal officials, 158 state officials, 360 local officials and 365 police officers, according to F.B.I. statistics. The number of convictions rose 27 percent from 2004 to 2005.

Please note that the NYT story above is from more than 13 years ago, and these cases are for actual public corruption, not what you imagine to be the crimes of "m0stly demcrats."

Whatever may be happening locally in Buffalo City Hall today, it is of virtually no national significance compared to the "drug deal" (as John Bolton called it) cooked up by Trump, Giuliani, Sondland and Mulvaney to extort the President of Ukraine for the personal benefit of Donald Trump. Nor is it of any significance compared to the corruption scandals that have been part and parcel of the Trump Administration/Campaign since the beginning: from Paul Manafort and Rick Gates to Michael Cohen to Michael Flynn to Scott Pruitt to Tom Price to Ryan Zinke to Elaine Chao ... there is no end to the self-dealing and venality exhibited by Trump and his minions.

It occurs to me wes, that a feller like you who's so focused on nickle and dime local corruption allegations, might have missed this story....

So permit me to bring it your attention:
Public impeachment hearings begin Wednesday with 2 key witnesses set to testify

WASHINGTON -- The closed doors of the Trump impeachment investigation are swinging wide open.

When the gavel strikes at the start of the House hearing Wednesday morning, America and the rest of the world will have the chance to see and hear for themselves for the first time about President Donald Trump's actions toward Ukraine and consider whether they are, in fact, impeachable offenses.

All on TV, committee leaders will set the stage , then comes the main feature: Two seasoned diplomats, William Taylor, the graying former infantry officer now charge d'affaires in Ukraine, and George Kent, the deputy assistant secretary in Washington, telling the striking, if sometimes complicated story of a president allegedly using foreign policy for personal and political gain ahead of the 2020 election

Somebody sent me this earlier today, so I thought I'd share it here....

'Twas the night before Hearings And all 'cross the Hill
No business was moving; Not even a bill.
The room had been prepped To minimize glare
For all of the cameramen Soon to be there.
With the witnesses ready And the lawyers on deck,
The POTUS readied his Twitter To blast them to heck.

When out from the SCIF There arose such a clatter —
The press rallied forth To see what was the matter.

Out then came a man, Both lanky and tall,
With papers in hand To distribute to all.
He gathered them round, And the mood it did shift
For the Intelligence Chair One Rep. Adam Schiff.
He cried, good and loud, "I have here some subpoenas!
For officials to come And show their demeanors!"

And quick as a flash, He called out their names
To appear before Congress And mayhap levy blame.
"NOW VOLKER, NOW SONDLAND,
NOW MASHA, AND GEORGE KENT!
ON TAYLOR, ON VOLKER,
ON COOPER, AND VINDMAN!!"

The president watched As cameras snapped on,
He grumbled and worried And fret on his lawn.
"This Schiff is a liar!" He cried to the press.
"He's sneaky and shady!  This is all a big mess!"
And tweets he did type And sent out to the masses
With typos left in — For he won't wear his glasses.

But the hearings went on As if POTUS weren't speaking;
The GOP saying, "There's been far too much leaking!"

The hearings proceeded, As most witnesses showed
To tell Congress a story Of an alleged quid pro quo.
Schiff bundled the words And sent them to Jerry;
Chairman Nadler, that is — Chair of Judiciary.

How the story will end Is anyone's guess.
Will the Senate remove?  Or will the votes be far less?

As we move to this phase Of the inquiry's search
We end with these words sent out from my perch —
There's one big huge thing, To take from this rhyme:
POTUS's call wasn't perfect — It was prob'ly a crime!

Anything that scans as badly as that should probably not be made public
