Re: Name That Movie!
We're getting somewhere with the jokes; LR, if that was a serious guess, oh wait, I get it now

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

BigRR is too good a contributor to leave him hanging out like this.

Jim has it right; and Jim, I really don't mind hanging out; it's just that flower and black movie title clues have been pretty much exhausted. It's time for a new title to have fun with.
BSG--I never even heard of that movie--good catch.

Re: Name That Movie!
I learned from research after watching the recent FX miniseries (I Am the Night) about the Black Dahlia that the reason she got that name from police/press was that the movie The Blue Dahlia released not long before she was murdered - so that’s why I thought of sharing it. It’s apparently an excellent film noir (Raymond Chandler wrote the screenplay) and has 100% rating on RT; I’ve got it in my Amazon Prime queue for when I feel like renting a classic.Big RR wrote:Jim has it right; and Jim, I really don't mind hanging out; it's just that flower and black movie title clues have been pretty much exhausted. Let's keep the party going. Here is the first quote on this film from our youth (most of us anyway):
You're short on ears and long on mouth!
Re: Name That Movie!
On the right path but different genre of course.
You can call me Father, you can call me Jacob, you can call me Jake. You can call me a dirty son-of-a-bitch, but if you EVER call me Daddy again, I'll finish this fight.
Please, Name That Movie!

Not so fast there, Ray.
I thought you were dead.
Re: Name That Movie!
Not so flippant there, BigRR.
Hotel desk clerk: I thought you were dead.
Js: Dead? The next person who says that I'm gonna shoot, so help me.

Not quite Meade. Another quote:
P: Say, you don't look too good. The sight of blood bother you?
J: Only my own.
Re: Name That Movie!
It is I think going to be a very harsh and unpleasant kind of business and will I think require an extremely harsh and unpleasant kind of man to see to it.
Please, Please, Name That Movie!
I'm not gonna guess it! ..... I'm not gonna guess it! .... The Hell I'm NOT!

You supplied the right players, wrong tune, RT, but then you knew that.
Jacob: Martha, It been a long time, It good to see you again.
Martha: You've changed Jacob
Jacob: Not you, Your as young and lovely as ever
Martha: I was wrong. You haven't changed, have you, Jacob?
Jacob: Not one bit.
