So someone like that (in danger in their home country, grateful to have reached the U.S., will probably become a productive member of society) would have been prevented from getting into the U.S. under the policies that Trump wants to enact, but has thus far been stopped from doing so thanks to Congress and the courts.
So it's incredibly fortunate for this person that Stephen Miller's Nazi-like approach to immigration has been blocked from coming into force by the other branches of the federal government.

I have no reason to doubt the narrative recounted by the person in that video.
