Mayer Pete's take on free college education is smarter and more nuanced that Warren or Sanders.

Yeah, I'm not sure if many people are going to buy the "we have to provide free college to the children of billionaires in order to create and maintain buy-in for the concept that college should be accessible to everyone" argument. One can quibble about whether $100,000 - $150,000 in income is the appropriate range over which to phase in the cost, but it's preposterous to claim that any sort of means testing is inherently unjust and self-defeating.

I was thinking more about his position that since the greatest benefit from education goes to the person who receives it that everyone should pay a portion of the cost (it may be a minor portion).
