That's a good example. Neither I nor that video chap said/wrote anything about being( angry because of the "existence" of non-white/non-straight people - or of the "existence" of anyone else. I believe he was speaking of people being angry about people like you who they perceive as forcing your beliefs about them onto them - and use pejorative (and false) term to do so. I believe he was saying that it's one thing to work for equal rights but another thing entirely to compel other people to endorse an ever-increasing list of perverse "rights" that they are not allowed to disagree with. Except at risk of being insulted, brow-beaten and dismissed as irrelevant or worse.

Other than that, I agree with your statement above - except I still don't like "homophobe" because I don't agree that disapproval of behavior is the same thing as an irrational fear of them.

I think a person angry about the existence of non-straight people is probably er . . . wrong in their feeling. That's not much better is it?

They are reacting to what they perceive as the balkanization of the USA - not that they'd be smart enough to use the term. They are (IMO) reacting to a dim perception that society is being split into us and them and "them" is composed of swine. And we are "them". Christian(nominally)/white/straight/non drug-taking/working/European/native/legal immigrant/non criminal/etc. "Us" is perverted, murderous, elitist left, and so on. Not my view - but it's the subtext of this articulate guy in his video, isn't it?

If characterizing non-white, non-straight people as ‘perverted’ and ‘murderous’ isn’t angry racist and homophobicwhatever, then I don’t know what the fuck.

Sigh.... I didn't explain myself at all well. It is the liberal left (not non-white, non-straight) - all of the left as far as they are concerned - who are perverted, murderous and elitist. You choose to apply that to two specific Balkan sub-groups of the left. They don't. The left thinks of "them" as swine and racist and homophobic and that's part of the Balkan method - demonizing the "other".
