Keep Calm and ....
Re: Keep Calm and ....
Meanwhile at work my wife (nurse) has been notified to prepare for “military style triage” in order to free up bed space for people that can be saved. Effectively speeding the deaths of long term chronic patients. All so Bill can easily pawn off Karens to his supervisor.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

For BB to believe that he knows better than the World Health Organization, the National Institutes of Health, and every goddamn doctor, nurse, and public health official in the country, is, as has been said before, incredibly ignorant and also just pure arrogance.

Keep Calm and ....
Fun fact: My maternal grandmother died in South Philadelphia due to the flu pandemic of 1918 -- January 22, 1919, age 27.
My mother's life was changed forever.

The missing information is the R (0) - 'R naught' - or Reproduction factor which is the number of people infected by one individual. Indications from initial research are that the R(0) for coronavirus is higher than it is for old-fashioned SARS but it's really too early to know. I've seen estimates of double the transmission rate but some which are that the two viruses are comparable. No-one really knows yet.

OK, fine. I give up. Each and every one of you are correct, and I am 200% wrong. We can't afford to take chances, so shut it all down. Better yet, let's put everyone into isolation chambers like David Vetter (the original "boy in the plastic bubble") so we all have our own little individual environments where we never come into contact with anyone and there's no possible of spreading anything to anyone. In the meantime, I'll just sit here in my apartment and work from home while I give thanks to God that at least I'm still employed, can still pay my bills — for now, and count up, like Scrooge McDuck, how much money I'm saving on gas and all the other things that I am being prevented from doing.
However, I don't want to hear or read any bitching when, once this is over, we find that countless small businesses have gone tits-up, the larger businesses and corporations that have the resources to survive an extended shutdown become even bigger and more dominant than they already are, the unemployment rate goes into double digits and taxes are increased to cover payments to this new army of the unemployed (as well as cover that $1000 stipend that everyone is expecting the government to provide in the interim), countless loans and mortgages have gone into arrears or default and the repossession rate spikes, which will lead to a ripple effect among the companies that ARE still standing since there will be fewer people able to go into hock to purchase things like $250K homes, $40K pickup trucks, $2K cellphones, and all the other things like foreign vacations, Caribbean cruises, and tickets to Disneyland that we have come to expect as our right because "... we're Americans, goddammit!":, and the country has entered a period of economic depression that will make the 'Great Depression' of the 1930s look like a speed bump in the road by comparison.
Or the issuance of similar quarantines/lockdowns/curfews/unilateral directives the next time three or more people die suddenly of some hitherto unknown cause because, after all, it's better to jump on the panic button with both feet rather than take chances.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

That would have been an excellent place for you to have concluded your post...

All men over 60 should just take a deep breath, turn their heads and cough.
