Reminds me of the single greatest Guardian story title ever. There was - and this has to be 40 years ago - concern about raw untreated sewage going out to sea from from English coastal towns, and the fact that vacationers / holiday makers swimming in the sea might be exposed to higher than acceptable levels of bacteria and 'solid material.' Some bright spark sub at the Guardian titled the piece 'Close Encounters of the Turd Kind.'
