As a dedicated Honeymooners devotee, (and who among us who is a lover of great comedy isn't?) I of course recall the original scene that this adapted from...

In the original, the object of Ralph's ire is his mother-in-law...

As soon as she arrives she starts in with not-so-subtle digs at Ralph, but for Alice's sake he tries to hold back responding to her...

Finally Alice mentions that they are going to see a big hit mystery play that Ralph's been looking forward to seeing for weeks.They were tough tickets to get; at that point MIL blurts out the twist ending, and Ralph, (quite understandably) loses it...
