It's Darren's way of trying to throw dirt on the victim to somehow justify what happened. You know, that whole "known to police" moniker that is used to bias public opinion.

A CNN news crew of color were arrested despite showing their press credentials to the police on live TV and offering to move wherever the police wanted them - they were handcuffed and taken into custody.

A white CNN reporter standing a block away was left alone after he showed his press credentials to police.

Reporting while black.

What's next, breathing while black?

I can't help but feel there is a festering nexus pointing directly to the White House, after January 20, 2017.

Well they took that scumbag murderer Chauvin into custody, but uncharged as of yet. More like protective custody with the intention to quell the riots.

Chauvin was charged with murder as he should have been.

Chauvin has been charged with third degree murder and second degree manslaughter. Looking at it realistically, even if he did have the intent to kill required for second degree murder, it would probably be nigh on impossible to prove. I see his actions demonstrating depraved disregard for human life, which in other states would be second degree murder but which is third degree in Minnesota. I would prefer these charges to having the prosecutor push the envelope and overcharge him, only to have a jury acquit him. Third degree murder carries a max of 25 years.

That's exactly what I thought BSG. They had to do something. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Like you, and most people who have seen the recording, I believe Chauvin is a murderer. I'm not sure what the other three cops might be guilty of, except not calling Chauvin off. How many does it take before police are held as accountable for unwarranted killings just like the rest of us would be. I think that's what the Mpls mayor said too.

Of course it might make it more difficult for cities to find bullies who want to be cops.

Apparently that is a crime in Minneapolis. Kneeling on the black person's neck is the standard method of execution for the infraction.

Here is live-on-air coverage of the CNN crew covering the protests, and then covering themselves being arrested!

Clearly this reporter frightened those policemen and they had to defend themselves.

You know, this morning I bet a lot of very frightened white politicians are wishing black people would just take a knee NOW.

Not bad, but it has already been used online in this case.

And the worm turns.

The festering police culture may finally be lining up for a much needed treatment of disinfectant. Scumbag, murderous, cops may no longer have a union to hide behind.

So nice to see that police forces could save up the tear gas they didn't use on the white stormtroopers who swarmed state capitols in the past few weeks, and instead use it against black people crying out to save their very lives and the lives of their children from the genocide that thuggish police are seeking to inflict on them.

Chauvin’s wife is filing for divorce - in this piece is a link to another feature about her from two years ago where she discusses her experience as a Hmong refugee. They’ve been married 10 years - sounds like she’s really horrified about the perspective on her husband that video revealed.

Good for her.

Taking a knee? Rather unintended insensitivity (and yes, I did look at the link).
