You are a card, Meade. And you’re right, that’s enough.
Seen those bypass scars and bruises before. They’re tough. Glad you came through it ok.

I recognized the drain holes - had two of them myself following incisional hernia repair with surgical mesh. In that photo yours look very fresh - this is a prior thing I gather? At first I thought you’d had surgery recently and not told us.MajGenl.Meade wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 3:06 pm
BSG and RayT - after the triple by-pass. The holes are where three drains were stuck to remove juices from whatever cavities there are in there.

Nah, I tell all. They were fresh at the time I took the photo (July 25, 2017). In fact, the buggers kept leaking while I was watching TV in the basement, every time I leaned forward to pick up cups of coffee. Just be grateful I didn't post the one with moobs.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Oh Well.... This is me....
This is Riley, my recently (October) adopted smooth coated white patterned border collie. She’s just 1.5 years old and was already a Mama - was dumped on a rural road in Arkansas with her three beautiful little boys last June. After she finished weaning them and they got adopted, she went to the veterinarian for her spay and tested positive for heartworm. So she stayed in foster care for 4 more months while she went through the American Heartworm Society protocol, and the last two months of that her foster ma sent me texts and pics almost daily so I could be involved in her care - I had found her on Petfinder where a great many rescues post their dogs for adoption these days. (I tried to find a dog at my local shelters, but nearly all were bully breed or bully mixes, which I have no interest in.) Once Riley was through the AHS protocol she was transported to the affiliated rescue in Rhode Island where I picked her up. Her first few months here we had to Netflix and cuddle because she was on strict exercise restriction while the heartworms cleared her system, to prevent embolus and sudden death. She was a VERY mellow border collie, a real couch potato, but it was a lot to do with the heartworm damage. Now she zooms around the yard like a greyhound, leaping over lawn chairs and other obstacles in the yard just for the pure joy of it. I can’t wait until later this month when the agility training facility reopens and I can get her started on formal obedience and agility. And fingers crossed that her 9 month antigen test later this month comes back all clear for heartworm.
She’s an awesome girl - I’ve loved all my dogs intensely, but this dog has the behavior profile I’ve always wished for. She’s Velcro like border collies often are, she never runs off further than the neighbor’s adjoining backyard and comes back immediately when I call or whistle. She’s super intelligent and when we walk, she falls into a natural heel - a super blessing considering I’m no longer in a condition to cope with a 65lb puller like my crazy beautiful Jenny was. The only bad thing Riley’s ever done was chewing my seatbelts (and a few other small things) when left alone too long, and that was my fault, not hers. She almost never barks (JOY!) and she’s super cuddly. Really a perfect dog; I feel very blessed that my instant infatuation with her sweet freckled face in a picture online turned out so fabulously well.
*I’m not going to post a picture of myself here because I am 100% certain that if I did - even if I was at my youngest and loveliest in the picture - one of the little hate BSG crew that makes a regular habit of cruelly using against me every bit of personal information I’ve ever shared here would do the same with my picture/appearance. No thanks.

Well OK it's a few years ago (my iPad was still functional) but I'm still recognizable.

So ExKA, you're telling us that you’re the 21st century Son of Man?

x-kA. You look like my Uncle Albert.
That looks like a tailored Glencroft British wool suit to me... and you dress on the right, correct?

Here are a couple of my wife and me.
I've shared this one before (taken at Stonehenge in Oct.'18), this time cropped a bit tighter: And here's a similar one from a year later (in Walla Walla Washington Washington on our way back from Alaska):

Wow! A mirror -- are you kidding me? I thought you were standing in front of a very narrow doorway.ex-khobar Andy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 12:06 amIt's a mirror, Ray. Left. And clearly your Uncle Albert is/was a handsome geezer.
That would also indicate the ring you're wearing is on the other hand.
My mother didn't raise many fools, you know.

Scooter- - you are younger than I envisioned you in my mind's eye.

I look like happy? The dwarf? I assure you I am taller and thinner than Happy. And I haven't tripped a kid in months. I still manage to be in a good mood.
