Things I never knew...

Do you know why Kellogg's Corn Flakes have a cockerel on them?

It's all thanks to the Welsh language!

During a tour of America, Welsh harpist Nansi Richards met the king of cereal, W.K. Kellogg. She told him that his name sounded like the word ceiliog - the Welsh for cockerel - and he liked it. Soon after, there was a cockerel on the box and, according to legend, he even coloured the bird to match the flag of Wales.

I always thought it was because they were a breakfast cereal and were eaten in the morning when the rooster crowed. But your story is much more entertaining, and I don't recall ever seeing a green rooster, so it wouldn't surprise me.

The morning connection was there, too - I just looked the story up online. They marketed the cockerel as needing his corn flakes to get crowing in the morning.

That makes sense; if I recall correctly, the cartoon roster used to say something like "wake up to breakfast" in TV commercials, then it changed to have him just crowing, and later he was just silent.

So, both stories are true?

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

I suspect corn on his cob would act as a good deterrent.

What would life be without flakes?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
