Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Guilty as charged.
We take special pleasure in schooling idiots who carry faux ADA mask exemption cards.

This just might work.

Again, what Constitutional rights are involved. Maybe something with the ADA, but the Constitution?
and if it wer einvolved, what happened to original intent? Quarantines were retty common in the 18th/19th centuries; ditton for face coverings during outbreaks of communicable diseases.

Re: Cornona Corvid Protests....
Matthew Carey's account of the 1793 Philadelphia epidemic (decades later ascribed to yellow fever) had this to say:
So the Philadelphians of the day, who probably included many who actually participated in the preparation of the constitution, had no problem with masks.
(It's OCR from a contemporary text; hence f = s except at the end of a word.)Thofe who ventured abroad,
had handkerchiefs or fponges impregnated with
vinegar or camphor, at their nofes, or elfe fmel-
ling bottles with the thieves' vinegar. Others
carried pieces of tar in their hands, or pockets,
or camphor bags tied round their necks.
So the Philadelphians of the day, who probably included many who actually participated in the preparation of the constitution, had no problem with masks.
Re: Cornona Corvid Protests....
Even the ADA doesn’t grant the right to go wherever one wishes sans mask during a pandemic; business owners must make reasonable modifications to meet the needs of the disabled, and this can absolutely include refusing them entry but bringing essential goods to them via curbside pickup.
All the mask exemption memes and cards going around are utter bullshit entirely unsupported by the law.

Re: Cornona Corvid Protests....
I'm not arguing the ADA does permit someone to enter a business without a mask, only that it may have some bearing on what accommodations the business may have to offer someone who has a legitimate reason not to wear a mask (if such reasons even exist); so far as I can see, the Constitution has no bearing on this whatsoever; there's no right to enter a privately owned business granted by the Constitution (although a person cannot be excluded for an illegal person, eg on the basis of race). And FWIW, your proposed accommodation would probably be all, that would be needed under the ADA given the circumstances.

‘Because Constitution!’ is just the mating call of MAGAts, I think.

This is a sad story, and it makes me sad that so many folks are going on his Facebook page and laughing at the story. He sounds like a really nice guy and friend, based on the posts of his friends. He was also a veteran who served 4 tours in the endless war on terror.
I blame the fucked up piece of shit in the White House who is promoting anti-mask, virus is harmless propaganda.

Trump deserves all of the blame you're willing to ladle out onto him, but still..... it's not like Trump was the ONLY source of information on the disease and its lethality (or lack thereof). There were plenty of others, both here in America and elsewhere, who were providing valid, reliable, verifiable information that this was NOT just a summer cold or a case of the flu that was 'a little more severe than average'.BoSoxGal wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 11:00 pmhttps://heavy.com/news/2020/07/richard- ... ronavirus/

One would think that a 38-year-old man who had been around the block a time or two would be capable of making intelligent decisions on his own based on ALL the data and information, not just what President Drumplestiltskin may have to say about it. So he too must bear some of the responsibility for his display of hubris and the way it ended up biting him in the ass.

Don’t discount the power of 4 years of FAKE NEWS!! and thousands of lies unchallenged. I encourage anyone who doubts this to do just a wee bit of research on how propaganda works on even intelligent people.
