A Rare Beatle Song that Wasn't a Hit....
Re: A Rare Beatle Song that Wasn't a Hit....
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
Re: A Rare Beatle Song that Wasn't a Hit....
That Beatles song reminds me of one of the sort that Ringo would usually sing (like Octopus's Garden or Honeypie); I wouldn't be surprised if he wrote it.

Not this one?
Re: A Rare Beatle Song that Wasn't a Hit....
I remember that.
Re: A Rare Beatle Song that Wasn't a Hit....
Can you Imagine that the song and the songwriter would be subjected to a hymn of outrage were he still alive.

Either that or they'd blame Yoko.
Here's another one the Beatles recorded (a Lennon McCartney competition):
Run for Your Life
The Beatles
Well, I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or I won't know where I am
You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, little girl
Well, you know that I'm a wicked guy
And I was born with a jealous mind
And I can't spend my whole life
Trying just to make you toe the line
You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, little girl
Let this be a sermon
I mean everything I've said
Baby, I'm determined
And I'd rather see you dead
You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, little girl
I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or you won't know where I am

Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, little girl

Social Justice Warriors would demand that John change the words to "White Women are Underappreciated by White Men But Have A Privileged Life Compared to All People of Color in the World"
