TwinsthenewTrend

Post by BoSoxGal »

This is my new favorite YouTube page; a couple of brothers from Gary, Indiana, filming their reactions to hearing new music - including a lot of old music we geezers love! They went viral for their reaction to Phil Collins’s In the Air Tonight, which was pretty great. Filter the videos to most popular and you’ll be in for a real treat of great music and fun reactions.

Someone put me on to them the other day, I think it's great that they are so open to appreciating so many genres and periods of music. Even when you can tell that they aren't really digging it (ABBA!!) they try to find something to appreciate about it.

I found them a few weeks ago. I watched them along with some other "reaction artists" and after spending a massive amount of time watching this genre I was all WTF am I doing watching this stuff and giving any cares as to what anyone else's reaction was to videos. Nonetheless they are somewhat addictive. I managed to quit cold turkey and now waste my time elsewhere.

ETA In my time wasting on this era here is one that gave me the giggles. The guy is a hoot.

though I am thankful that the "up next bar" finally linked me back to this guy.

I just love reactions when get their minds blown by something and find out they like it

Which gets back to the original board with its "time kill central" designation. Reminds me of my son's first housemate. When I dropped my son off one day, his housemate was all excited about how this video game player had played a game; it took me a second but it became clear housemate had spent several hours watching a replay of some guy's video of a game he played (roommate was a trust fund kid, so that helps explain it). Of course, some people might think posting this is ironic.

Yeah there is a whole world of time wasting that I just don’t grasp the appeal of, especially watching other people playing video games. But then I don’t find video games all that appealing, either.
