Stupid people antics

Post by TPFKA@W »

How on earth do some make it to adulthood? (We thought the virus would be their undoing.)
"And now she has no pants"
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... -calf.html

A motorbike passenger was charged at by an adult bison after she tried approaching a calf to take close-up photos.

Before she reached the calf, the bison charged at her knocking her to the ground.

It happened in Custer State Park in South Dakota on Wednesday as bikers were in the area for the 2020 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The 54-year-old woman from Iowa was approaching the young bison when the adult charged at her catching her belt and jeans around its horn in the process.

The animal was then able to run off with her jeans but in the process knocked her unconscious.

The woman was flung around like a rag doll before finally hitting the ground, after which point the bison returned to its herd.

The woman ended up having to be air lifted to hospital and is said to have suffered serious injuries but is expected to make a full recovery, according to KELO.

The incident occurred while thousands of motorcyclists are in the Black Hills in the western park of the state for the 2020 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The Custer County Sheriff, Marty Mechaley, warned visitors to keep their distance from bison in the park.

'We would like to remind everyone to not pet the fluffy cows - also known as Bison/Buffalo. We have had calls about the fluffy cows blocking the road occasionally - some people are also getting too close.

'Remember this is their park and we are the guests….please give them a break and keep your distance.

The area is busy for the time of year with estimated 250,000 people have flocking to the state as part of a 10-day festival known as the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

The rally is expected to become one of the largest public gatherings since the pandemic began.

People rode from across the country to a state that offered a reprieve from coronavirus restrictions, as South Dakota has no special limits on indoor crowds, no mask mandates and a governor who is eager to welcome visitors and the money they bring.

I have ZERO sympathy for idiots who harass wildlife.

The adult bison was later seen at a clothing store in Sturgis having the jeans tailored.

I think that she just heard a discouraging word.

If you watched the video, the pants were hanging on the bison's "antler" (as one nincompoop called the bison's horn) and the bison trotted off with the pants attached. However another part of the video some guy came back to the scene with the tattered pants in his hands. I am going to guess there was another interesting film opportunity missed.

Bison, alcohol and bikers do not mix.

Sorry. Didn't see the video until now. That must have been a different bison spotted at the clothing store.

Perhaps it was just a rather large, hirsute biker you spotted, and you just need glasses.

Then there's that. Maybe it was Bison Bill.

Home on the Range
Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam,
Where the deer and the antelope play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.

Chorus Home, home on the range,
Where the deer and the antelope play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.

Where the air is so pure, and the zephyrs so free,
The breezes so balmy and light,
That I would not exchange my home on the range,
For all of the cities so bright.

The Red man was pressed from this part of the west,
He's likely no more to return,
To the banks of the Red River where seldom if ever
Their flickering campfires burn.

How often at night when the heavens are bright,
With the light from the glittering stars,
Have I stood there amazed and asked as I gazed,
If their glory exceeds that of ours.

Oh, I love these wild flowers in this dear land of ours,
The curlew I love to hear cry,
And I love the white rocks and the antelope flocks,
That graze on the mountain slopes high.

Oh give me a land where the bright diamond sand,
Flows leisurely down in the stream;
Where the graceful white swan goes gliding along,
Like a maid in a heavenly dream.

Then I would not exchange my home on the range,
Where the deer and the antelope play;
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Oh give me a home, where the bison they roam, and the deer and the pronghorn they play.
Taxonomy is irrelevant you see
and misnomers are rampant all day!

Oh don't make your home - where the bison do roam
And the bikers get drunk every day
Their eyesight gets blurred - and one walks toward the herd
Then loses her pants on her way

Stoned - drunk and deranged
Where the bikers at Sturgis do play
And seldom is heard - an intelligent word
As they spew COVID every which way.....

Apparently, all of the distancing recommendations are being ignored at the event.

If you watched the video,
You know, I was satisfied to read your pasted copy of the story without clicking the link until I saw this. Then:

Me: Oh well if there's video ...
GAH!
