Watching Laura coverage this morning and flashing forward to 20+ years of watching more and more coverage of wilder and weirder storm systems as I melt through the summers and long to see just a little snow in the winters, knowing that mild winters mean droughts.
Of all the shit on our plates these days, watching the planet burn hurts the most.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
~ Carl Sagan
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
I’m sure 45*’s administration will provide an efficient and compassionate response to this disaster.
I saw news footage of Drumpf strolling around, but I didn't see him toss out any paper towels. How will they ever clean up?
He already gave all of those "beautiful, soft towels — very good towels" to those poor hurricane survivors in Puerto Rico, but then those ungrateful bastards didn't fawn all over him in gratitude for his immense show of largesse. He didn't want to take a chance on getting his widdle biddy feewings hurted again. -"BB"-
Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
