For the moment. I have seen a patient test negative, then test positive, then negative again then positive again. True story. I have developed a distrust of the test to a large degree. Next week we will receive our mandatory flu shots along with covid testing. The mandatory flu shot issue has caused a stink among coworkers. Many nurses and aides maintain a state of lunacy by believing that a flu shot will give you flu. It will not since generally it is a dead virus involved in making of the vaccine. The nurse who was giving me report was going off about her rights etc and I just smiled and said I was probably too old to worry about autism at this point. (Also something at least one coworker maintains, which pains me deeply.) Now we are mandated to wear a face shield on top of the mask. I was completely cool with the mask but the face shield is excruciating. The poor patients, many of whom are very confused, can now barely hear of see us due to the barrier and the reflective glare which makes our eyes hard to see. The shields the company is providing has a blue strip at the top with all caps "FACE SHIELD" with a star on either side. It looks police like. It also makes things very hot. This is a bad time to be a rehab or long term care patient or caregiver.

Now he’s heading into Walter Reed for admission for treatment of the hoax virus that is like the flu only it really doesn’t affect anybody.

I still have zero ounces of sympathy. The motherfucker knew he’d been in very close contact with a confirmed positive and he went around exposing dozens and dozens and dozens of other people over the last few days. He’s a fucking monster.

I woke up this morning to the news that Trump, Melania, Hope Hicks, and God knows who else have all tested positive for COVID-19.  I am glad for my own soul that my first response was that's terrible, and said a little prayer.  Then a few thoughts about schadenfreude snuck in — after all, he was the one who scrapped Obama's pandemic plans and here we are with 206,000 Americans dead.  But I wouldn't wish this virus on anyone, especially an obese 74-year-old with the nuclear codes.

Of course, there's talk about how he's lying about it, but I don't believe that for a minute.  The announcement happened overnight.  There's no real upside for his campaign, especially after he downplayed the pandemic and held all those maskless rallies.

Then I began to think about all the possible implications for our nation.  If he is asymptomatic, that could further promote lax behavior among his followers.  If he becomes really sick, it could leave him with lasting disabilities.  And who would run the country meanwhile?  If he dies, the election will be thrown into chaos.  How many people did he expose to the virus?  Could Biden have caught it?

Right now is a good time for all of us to pray for our nation.

He is being treated with an experimental antibody therapy that has actually produced results. Unlike the nonsense he pedals to the masses of morons in order to pretend that he has something useful to offer to those who are foolish enough to buy into his bullshit.
