No take backs. Pass ‘em to someone else.
Yah, no thanks, I think I got at least 20 of my own.
Sorry for your losses. The best gift you can give yourself and your parents is to continue doing a good job taking care of yourself. It is always good to hear success stories -- congratulations and best wishes for continued good health!
Yay you girl! Well done.Guinevere wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 4:19 pmI worked more hours than I have since I was a junior lawyer, and they are much more difficult and complex hours, now.
Also, for the first time in years, I did not spend my time taking care of and managing my parents health, illness, and death, but was able to spend time taking care of myself. I got caught up on most of my health appts/deferred maintenance, I got back into the pool several times a week (starting in June), and I lost 45 pounds. Working from home has been something of a gift. I miss seeing my peeps in person, and I still have multiple late night meetings every week and sometimes on the same night, but instead of driving each way and trying to figure out my meals on the go or on the fly, I commute downstairs to my kitchen and eat good stuff.
Thank you snailgate. I hope you enjoy every second of that album, it sounds divine!Burning Petard wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 5:49 pmGuin, thank you. Your post in this thread is the most positive thing I have heard/read in the multitude of year-end lists.
I accomplished one great thing, just for me, just a few minutes ago.
I ordered the NEW Ella Fitzgerald album. Made from unreleased tapes of her Berlin concert.
