Anyone else notice...
Anyone else notice...
...how fast they went from "heroic essential workers" to "teenage burger flippers" the moment the discussion about raising the minimum wage began?

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

me neither

The thing I hear and agree with is that they need to be able to get an order right at least 6 out of 10 times before we give the essential McDonald's worker a raise.
Re: Anyone else notice...
The thing I hear is "the minimum wage was designed for teenagers to get a first job, not for an adult to support a family" (absolute bullshit, read what FDR had to say about it when it was introduced) and "if we pay burger flippers $15/hour, how much are we going to have to pay teachers" (what they are worth, which is a hell of a lot more than they are being paid now).
And yeah, the tone has definitely changed from when all the people doing these "menial" jobs were being praised as the key to allowing everyone else to live their lives. Now they are back to being looked down on.

Well, that segue from health care workers to teachers is a worthy contender for the Lib Vaseline Trophy for 2021
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Apart from you saying it, no. A quote would help...
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
