Wow! Did this thread drop off of the face the earth quickly... LOL~

No matter. We just got back from FLA and yes, it was ALL THAT and a bag-O-Chips! (Translation: totally Awesome!)

Tanacia wanted me to thank Cali for starting the thread and everyone that contributed. All four of you.

[And You wonder why she would rather play 'angry birds' on her cell phone rather than interact with you lot.... ]

LMFAO~

Chingo bendajos. Piso El Gato! Mu-cha ste' comprehend e? Talk to the hand moochacho! chA! Whatever! ;) ;)

:fu :D :ok 8-)

ETA: I have some great photos of the excursion (including video) of swimming with the Dolphins, should anyone show an interest. And Hen; The aviary was awesome and Tanacia gives me full credit for me "birdability" (Her word) because they just seemed to flock to me for some reason. As you know, I love all critters and they me; but the birds and I seemed to have a certain affinity last weekend that went beyond my usual report. It was really cool. Can't wait to show you and Strop the Cuckaborrow (world's largest species of King Fisher) at me elbow. And much more. :ok

I was out of town and offline, or I would have contributed.

In any case, Happy Belated Birthday!!

I've heard angry birds is a fun game . . .

I retired from tending my farm and my cafe just over a year ago. It was a giant sucking sound of time and I will always regret wasting so much time on a virtual endeavor.

I heard a description of Angry Birds on NPR. Based on how cool it sounds, I have made a vow never to check it out in person. ;)

Just to be fair, this was the only bird that would only go to her:

Tanacia gets to see the ocean for the first time. Cocoa Beach. Happy B-day indeed.

*I had to take these myself at arms length, so I'm just guessing and hoping that we and the ocean are in frame.* Am working on downloading the dolphin pics.

TY Cali.

Dang! What a huge pain in the arse to transfer these pics from the CD. Anyway, I think I got it figured out now.

Let's see: Aha! Yes. Meet Lester! He is the oldest dolphin at the cove. We also worked with one of the youngest ones, Maui. (Three years old) She is the one that gave us our rides from the deep into the shallow.

More to follow... :D 8-)

ETA: Regarding that hug, rest assured by the vain sticking out on my head that I am indeed squeezing the fuck all out of that dolphin. I figured that he was a big boy and could take it. Not knowing when or if I would ever have this opportunity again, I made the most of it. He didn't seem to mind one bit. :D :ok

Factoid: Female Dolphins are the Dominant individual within a given group. Not unlike Elephants. hmmm

Males, such as Lester, can be the dominant males, but it only gives them the right to mate with the matriarch whom actually rules the roost. Pun intended.

However: I stand by me answer I gave in middle school nearly 30 years ago. What animal would you most like to be?

I answered: A Dolphin. And qualified it. They have no natural enemies. All they do is play and make little dolphins.

Fuck me if that ain't the life!~ :D :D :D :ok :ok

* After watching me drop and smash my 300mm Tamron lens, Hen let me get a new one off e-bay straight away, sweet of her. These were the first test shots I did with it.
