I don't think the cop killed Floyd intentionally. I think he wanted to demonstrate to the rookies his god-like ability to make a suspect compliant. Anytime someone is rendered unconscious, that is a dangerous thing that could result in death. That can't be emphasized enough, but if one is an athlete in New York City, you can kill someone with a single punch and serve no jail time.ex-khobar Andy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 12:38 pmI don't. Rookie Cop 101 on that first Monday morning class is - stop people from doing bad things. Whether the bad thing is driving too fast or throwing bricks through next door's windows or murdering people, I expect rookie cops to know that from day one, or even - is this too much to ask? - before they apply for the job.
I don't think rookie cops should have to be taught that murdering people is bad. Maybe I'm an idealist.
Trump Organization to be indicted

I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

NYS has a 'one punch rule' - if you're in an altercation and one punch ends up in the victim's death, in some situations the DA can't upgrade an assault charge to a manslaughter or murder charge.
Chauvin did not deliver one punch - his knee was on Floyd's neck for 9 minutes, and he is a trained and experienced cop. I don't necessarily agree with the 'one punch' rule, but if you can't see the difference you are just fucking dishonest.
